Chapter 5!
You and Abs

Bonnie let out a loud sigh as she sat down on the passenger seat in Sam's car, "I'm so fucking pissed off." She exclaimed.

"I know! How did they even find out about our demonstration?" Sam said, then she turned to Bonnie and asked, "You didn't mention it to Aisha, did you?!"

"No! Did you?"

"No!"

"It makes no sense," Bonnie held her head in her hands. "They don't even need anymore students, why did they need to steal our spotlight."

"Because they're Cobra Kai," Sam stated, pulling away from Bonnie's house.

The two girls remained silent for the rest of the car ride to the dojo, which was rare for them, but they were simply too angry to talk.

When they arrived at Miyagi-Do, Sam and Bonnie stretched while Robby relentlessly punched the punching bag in front of him.

"Maybe we should take a video of us sparring and post it on Instagram," Robby suggested.

"Everybody already saw us at Valley Fest. No one cared," Bonnie said.

"You know what the problem is? Miyagi-Do's all about defence," Robby huffed.

"Defence wins championships," Sam emphasised.

"Yeah, but people show up for the offence. That's why Cobra Kai is more popular," He added. "All right? We need to show them we can fight too."

"So what are we supposed to do? It's not like we can just go out, pick a fight and hope someone catches it on camera. Mr. LaRusso would never let us," Bonnie asserted.

"It's not the worst idea," Robby said.

"It's a terrible idea," Sam scoffed.

After a while of brainstorming, Sam got up in frustration, declaring it was no use. Then she headed to the front of the dojo to talk with her dad.

Robby turned to face Bonnie, holding his hand out to her. "Come on," He said. "Let's spar."

"Just go easy on me, okay?" Bonnie said with a laugh, accepting Robby's hand and pulling herself up from the ground. "Before a couple of weeks ago, the last time I did Karate was when I was eight."

The two teens slipped off their shoes, bowed, and took their positions. They began sparring back and forth. Bonnie could tell Robby was holding back, perhaps a bit too much.

"You can go a little harder on me, you know. I'm not actually eight years old," She laughed.

Robby smirked and the two of them continued sparring, this time with more speed and strength. They continued like that until Sam came back.

"Guys!" She called. "My dad's gonna take us for a ride! Come on!"

Bonnie and Robby gave each other wide smiles before heading towards the car. During the ride, Daniel explained that he was taking them to the beach to try and recruit students.

"I still don't understand how going to the beach is gonna help us get students," Robby said.

"It's not the students that I'm after. It's the parents," Daniel answered.
