Chapter 7!
The Medal of Honour

The next morning, Bonnie did her best to avoid bumping into Robby as she got ready for training. She had no idea what to say to him. Every other time she had been kissed, it had been by a boyfriend or someone she really liked who would soon become her boyfriend. But Robby wasn't that—he was her friend.

She had even convinced Sam to drive to training instead of getting a ride with her dad. Bonnie had successfully managed to avoid Robby until she and Sam arrived at the dojo. However, the events of last night quickly slipped from her mind when she saw the state of the dojo.

It had been completely trashed—everything destroyed, stolen, or broken. Nothing was left intact. They soon discovered that Mr. Miyagi's Medal of Honour had been stolen, and the car he had gifted to Daniel was graffitied with the words 'COBRA KAI NEVER DIES'.

Daniel drove off in a rage, leaving his three students to clean up and try salvage anything that looked salvageable.

Bonnie separated from Sam and Robby, found a broom and a tall dustpan, and started sweeping up all the glass inside.

As Bonnie swept up the shards of glass, she tried to keep her focus on the task at hand. The sound of the broom against the floor was oddly soothing, providing a temporary distraction from the turmoil of the morning. She could hear Sam and Robby talking quietly in the background, their voices tense but determined.

The dojo, which had always felt like a place of safety and discipline, now seemed like a battlefield. Bonnie couldn't help but feel a sense of loss as she surveyed the wreckage. She paused for a moment, glancing at a photo of Mr. Miyagi and Daniel that had been knocked to the floor but miraculously remained intact. Gently, she picked it up and set it on a shelf, feeling a renewed sense of resolve.

"Hey, Bonnie," Robby's voice cut through her thoughts. He was standing a few feet away, holding a box of supplies he had found in a storage closet. "I found some cleaning stuff. Might make this a bit easier."

"Thanks," Bonnie replied, trying to keep her tone neutral. She took a deep breath, forcing herself to look him in the eyes. "Let's get this place back in shape."

They worked in silence for a while, each lost in their own thoughts. Bonnie found it hard to concentrate, her mind drifting back to the kiss and the confused feelings it had stirred up. She wanted to talk to Robby about it, to clear the air, but now didn't seem like the right time.

By the time Daniel returned, Demetri had joined them. The group had moved outside, working to clean up the back of the dojo. After a while, the dojo began to look somewhat like it had before being trashed. The four teens then decided to tackle the task of lifting a large stone piece from the ground together.

Robby turned to Bonnie, lowering the stone slightly. "Listen, about last night—"

Bonnie cut him off, "It was nothing, right? We were both emotional..." She wasn't entirely convinced by her own words, but she wasn't ready to discuss it further.

"Right..."

"Are you guys lifting?" Demetri asked. "Because I feel like I'm doing nothing here."

Robby sighed. "Forget it, all right? It's too heavy. We're gonna need a forklift."

"How'd they even knock it over?" Sam questioned.

"It's a lot easier to knock something down than it is to lift it up. Don't worry. We'll get it up again," Daniel smiled.

Bonnie wondered how Daniel could remain so calm, let alone smile, in a situation like this.

"Uh... excuse me," A voice called from behind them. "Is this Miyagi-Do?"
