After school
As I walked home from school, I felt a mix of exhaustion and relief. The weight of my backpack was digging into my shoulders, and all I wanted to do was collapse onto my bed.
My footsteps echoed through the empty hallway, and I couldn't wait to get home and relax.
After reaching home, I headed straight to the bathroom. The warm water cascading down my body felt like a soothing embrace after a long day. As I stood under the shower, my mind drifted to the day's events.
Among the thoughts that swirled in my mind, I thought about a girl from school. Her laughter and easy smile had left a lasting impression on me, and I couldn't help but mull over our interactions as I lathered shampoo into my hair.
The steam filled the bathroom as I continued to stand under the refreshing stream of water, lost in my thoughts.
My mind kept wandering back to the girl from school. I realized that I had been unconsciously smiling to myself as I recalled our conversations.
The rhythmic sound of the water falling against the tiles matched the steady beat of my heart as I pondered the possibility of getting to know her better.
"I can't believe that girl dared to ask to be my friend after all that shit she put me through," I ranted to my best friend, Bri. "She's been bothering me at school, acting all sweet and friendly as if nothing ever happened. Ugh, it's driving me crazy. I don't know how to deal with her anymore."'
