"KICK HER ASS BLAKE!" A painfully familiar woman shouts from atop the God's sitting area. The goddess of Love and Beauty screaming above everyone else and an embarrassed Ares sitting next to her with his hand covering his face.
"Annoying." Blake mutters under his breath while waving half-heartedly at his mother. Kayea laughs beside him, the center of the arena being surrounded by the stadium filled with people.
The boy next to Kayea is as broody as ever, but this strange look in his eye shows a new emotion: playful.
"You can do it Kayea!" She looks up to see Aeo, Boe, and Flynn waving at her. For a second, a flash of jealousy appears on Blakes face. Kayea looks at him in shock, the boy returning with a glare and turning his head away.
She goes to open her mouth, a wide smirk spreading across her face, "The training round will begin!" The loud voice shouts, cutting her words off.
"Jelly much?" She teases with a small wink towards Blake. The minor god scoffs and turns away further.
Two pillars lift up from the ground, each holding a stone. Kayea reaches out for her stone, the rock vibrating in her hand as she grabs it. It's almost like the rock is pulling towards something.
This is one of the unfortunate skills Kayea had NOT mastered- or even got close to succeeding once. The trick is to transform the stone into something else by whatever means necessary.
So far, she's only managed to turn herself into a frog. A very slimy frog at that. Kayea had at least expected Blake to struggle even a little bit but no he just had to be cruel.
Kayea eyes watch as Blake's hand erupts in flames, the rock melting almost instantly into molten lava. "WHAT!?" Kayea stares in shock at the boy, lava dripping from his fingertips and onto the ground in a sizzling heap.
"KAYEA!" She looks over at where Flynn is shouting from, "YOU'RE SO SCREWED!" He shouts with a large smile on his face.
"OH NO SH-!" She screams back. She points at his hands, "How in the h- do I compete with THAT!? HIS HANDS ARE LAVA!" She screams at the gods-son. Blake bursts into laughter after a stalled look of shock.
"Seriously?! That's what you're worried about?! Hahahaha!" He grabs his stomach and laughs, almost doubling over in the process.
"Oh shut it." Kayea grumbles and crosses her arms. She looks at her rock, "Just you watch. I'll melt mine too!" She stares at the rock with intense focus. A few seconds pass...a few minutes..five minutes......
Kayea groans and stares at the rock in petty anger, "Why aren't you melting?" Blake bursts into laughter again.
"Poor Kayea. Daughter of Zeus can't even transform one little pebble." He mocks. Kayea squeezes the rock in her hand, a small spark of electricity exploding in her palm.
Out of anger she throws the rock as hard as she can at Blake. The boy sadly caught the rock in his hand easily with a large smirk on his face.
"Nice job zappy." He comments, sticking his tongue out at Kayea just as she had done to Aphrodite all those days ago. She growls and storms over to him. He doesn't move or remove the smirk on his face when she reaches for the stone. Blake lifts his arm higher in the air tauntingly.
"Blake." Kayea warns. He laughs again and leans close to her face.
"Yeah zappy?" A small tint of pink rushes to her cheeks but only lasts a few seconds.
Without thinking she punches him straight in the weak spot between his legs. A few pained groans come from the audience at the scene. Blake drops the stone and crouches over. "D- woman." He mutters in between breaths.
