"The titan war destroyed our home all those centuries ago. It was bad enough they captured our leaders, but they didn't stop there. They caged every creature on our planet. Not even the bugs were allowed freedom."

How do they trap every single bug? That would be impossible on Earth. Then again from the sounds of it, Tartarus wasn't that big population wise.

Flynn walks behind the old man slowly. The ruins around them are covered in the little bit of life left. "Our surface was left uninhabitable. Our people used to bathe in the warmth of our moon. But now our people have been forced to live without it."

The man, who Flynn learned was called Grandpa Terrin, is taking Flynn to see the rest of the Tartanians. "What's the plan you were talking about?" Gradually as they walk, the buildings start to look more and more liveable.

"There's a portal located at the core of our world. It can take us straight into Olympus. From there we hope to flee to the nearby portal of Edinburgh." A few people now poke their heads out from open doorways. The red color stands out against their much lighter skin.

The higher ranked members all have dark black skin that replicates that of a night sky, and red markings all across their bodies. Their hair is as dark as pitch black too. Whereas the lower ranks are different.

Their skin is a soft white, the red marks still visible but a less bloody color. Their hair is a bright and beautiful white color that most commonly goes to their waist or lower regardless of gender.

"Where's Edinburgh?" The portal doesn't come to mind. Flynn had heard all about Greek mythology from his grandpa but never that name.

"Edinburgh is a place of Serenity. It's outside the control of the Gods, only allowing the Primordials inside. The portal was abandoned in the Titan War." A young girl trips and stumbles out of the safety of her house.

She falls in front of Flynn, him grabbing under her arms to catch her so she doesn't faceplant. "Careful. You'll get hurt." He mutters softly and crouches down. She stares in shock, her eyes filled with fearful tears.

"You're okay." He brushes her long white hair out of her face and pets her head gently.

"You have a way with kids." Terrin watches from a few feet away. The mother of the child rushes out of the house and hesitates to grab her child. Fearful eyes keeping her at a distance.

"It's okay." Flynn picks up the little girl, her hands grabbing onto his shirt tightly like a frightened creature would. Her nails clawing into him and her hands shaking. The woman backs away as he walks closer to her.

He gives a comforting smile and stands in place. A crowd of people poke their heads out and watch the scene, the mothers all keeping a protective hold on their kids.

Flynn holds out his hand to the mother, the child rubbing her cheek against his. He laughs, the crowd all flinching back at the sound. The woman looks at old man Terrin then back at Flynn.

She slowly makes her way to him, step by slow step. Flynn picks up the child under her arms and pulls her from him. She makes a sound that's similar to a cry, her hands swinging in an attempt to grab hold again.

The woman grabs the child quickly and rushes into the house. Flynn looks back at old man Terrin , "Take me to the portal." These people shouldn't have to live in such fear. Regardless of if the old man has bad intentions, these people have done nothing wrong.

"These people should not have to suffer like this. They're children." He mutters.

"That they are." Terrin mutters back and leads him to the village center. "The portal to Olympus is in the deepest part of our homeland." Flynn looks around as they walk. The people are staying far away from him but their gaze doesn't leave his back.
