Chapter 15

Content Warning: steamy moment and talks of sex.

Authors note: you guys, I'm having so much fun writing this. I know I'm not a good writer, English isn't my first language so I find it a bit hard. I also know I don't have many people reading, but I want to say thanks to the people who are keeping up with this story!! I can't wait finish all the chapters! :)

What are we?? Why, WHY did I have to ask that and potentially ruin this perfect night. Everything has been absolutely amazing and just had to start this conversation now? Damn Emily putting these thought into my head.

"I'm sorry... you don't have to answer that. I don't know why I said that" I say quickly shaking my head in disbelief at myself.

Jamie just looks at me with her mouth lightly open and her eyes wide. She starts slowly shaking her head and takes a deep breath, closing her eyes.

I prepare myself for her to tell me that we are just casual or something. So I close my eyes and brace myself for her words.

"I actually have been wanting to ask you the same thing all night. That's why I seemed distracted earlier" she says with a slight nervous giggle, looking back out to the ocean.

I continue to look at her, hoping she's going to keep talking.

"I'm not talking to anyone else you know... If you are, it's- it's okay I just, um, you're the only one I want in my life like that." She says with a blush and I see her nervously bite her lip, still looking towards the ocean.

I think I might faint? I'm the only one she wants??? I can hardly believe my ears. It's hard to believe that I'm not dreaming right now. How am I so lucky to have this beautiful, sweet, caring, sexy, incredible woman in my life like this?

I squeeze her hand, causing her to look into my eyes.

"I'm not talking to anyone else either. You're... all I want" I say, searching her eyes with my own. I can see the relief wash over her like she was just as nervous about this conversation as I was.

Okay so, great. We are exclusive now. That is cleared up and it feels amazing. She wants me. She wants me and ONLY me.

"I never expected to find someone here who I really connected with you know." Jamie says with a soft smile, her eyes still locked on mine.

"Oh come on. Look at you. I'm sure you find women anywhere you go" I say while looking at her with awe. She is the most attractive person, both inside and out. There's no way girls aren't throwing themselves at her.

She laughs and shakes her head which causes me to narrow my eyes because I know I must be right.

"You're too funny Haley... I've never sought after someone like this before. The gift giving, dropping by just to see you for only a second, wanting to impress you... If girls wanted me before, it didn't matter because I didn't want them. But when I seen you.. that first day in the town square... I haven't been able to get you off my mind" she says quietly, squeezing my hand tightly.

I let out a laugh as I shake my head.

"I was so mean to you at the beginning Jamie. I don't know why you kept trying to get to know me" I say with a sad look on my face because yeah. I feel like shit about that. Jamie deserves everything good in this world and I can't forgive myself for not seeing that sooner.

"Honestly, I kind of liked it. You were like this hot ice queen straight out of a romance novel, it really worked for me.." Jamie trails off while scratching the back of her neck. She clears her throat and her cheeks fill with blush as she breaks out of her thoughts. She clears her throat to continue talking and I giggle.
