Solana smiled widely, her shaky hands pushed the door open. Immediately, she was invited by the sound of music playing loudly through the bakery. The pastel pink and white decorations filled the rooms. The old circular tables were replaced with small squared ones. Not much had changed, but there was a difference that Solana was proud of.
"Congratulations!"
Solana smiled at the plethora of people that stood near the counter of the store. The store wasn't packed with people as of yet, given that the women were only thirty minutes late, but Solana knew it was going to begin to get packed by the minute.
"Thank you guys," Solana gushed. She walked over to the group of people and greeted them, along with Sherrie and Vivian.
"This looks amazing," She gushed.
"I know," Sherrie smiled.
Vivian walked in behind the girls with a wide smile. She felt so proud of her granddaughters and how they were able to put the work in to turn something into their own.
Instead of having her employees work the day of the reveal party, Solana decided to hire people to do catering for the day. Her heels clashed against the tile floors as she walked around the room.
"How long have you guys been here for?"
"An hour now." One of the caterers called out.
"If you guys would like any refreshments before more people get here, let me know."
Solana walked around the store with admiration and astonishment. She couldn't believe that her creative thoughts had come to life at that very moment. It looked even better than she thought it'd be. Solana walked towards Sherrie, whilst she stood in the corner talking to a group of people.
"Sorry, can I pull Sherrie for a second?"
"No problem."
Sherrie's eyes widened when she felt Solana yank her towards the kitchen area. They walked over to Solana's office door and stood in front of it.
"What?"
"Before we go in here... I wanna show you something." Solana smirked.
"What?"
"I know that you didn't have an office at first and you had to get that small room near the freezer. So-" She started. Grabbing Sherrie's hand, she pulls her towards the room that used to be another storage room that nobody used.
Slowly, Sherrie opened the door and gasped with her hands against her mouth. She looked back at her cousin with disbelief.
"No, you fucking didn't!"
"I did."
"This wasn't part of the rough draft."
Solana chuckled and stepped inside the room. "Well, I wanted to surprise you, so I added it after."
