There was something about this boy that she didn't quite understand. There was also something about this situation that she found rather intriguing, being what she was she knew that getting involved would have consequences, she was no fool she had been around for millennium. She knew that every action and every decision can change the very flow of all the events that would follow. But, she liked Melanie and what she was suffering right now was an atrocity in her eyes, why was this boy that was supposed to be Melanie's protector allowing this to happen... and why didn't she know why, it was her job to know why.

She had seen more warriors than even she could count and all of them had one thing in common, none of them slept soundly. Yet here he was on his side face buried in his pillow the rise and fall of his broad back could be seen in this low light and he was completely unaware that something was sharing the room that he was currently slumbering in. She sighed because she knew that she would come to regret this but she was going to do it anyway. She walked over to Drake and gently caressed his calf, causing him to wake with a start. He was shock to see who/ what was standing at the foot of his bed.

She didn't look a day over fourteen she had stark white hair that looked lighter than a cloud. She wore robes like a monk that were a darker grey and her hood sat lazily on the top of her head. The most unsettling thing about her was her eyes they were pupil less and were a solid icy blue.

"Fear me not Drake Nenimkee." Her voice was strange as if he was hearing it both with his ears and inside his head. "I am not hear to harm you."

"Then what are you doing in my bedroom and, what did you call me?" He asked sitting up, still not at ease by this strange... girl in his room.

"I am here to warn you, and I called you by your name. Drake Nenimkee." She reiterated.

"My name is Drake Wheeler." He shot

"The name given to you by those who took you in, but the name that accompanies the blood flowing through your veins is Nenimkee." She explained not blinking once adding to the unsettling nature of her visage. Drake didn't want to argue this any further he wanted to get whatever she was as far away from him as possible.

"Fine, but who are you and what warning to you have for me?"

"I am Alura the Seer that helped Melanie locate you. You are a curious one Drake, I can see where you have been, I can see where you are, but I can't see where you are going." She said smiling.

"What?" Drake said very confused.

"My ability allows me to see the path of any one I desire and of the 1000 years I have been alive there has been only three I couldn't see the path that laid before them, you being the third." She explained.

"What does that mean?" Drake asked still not sure what to make of what she was saying.

"It means you are a child of destiny. Most people only have a few life altering choices avalible to them, you on the other hand have unlimited possibilities of what you can do. Your future cannot be manipulated by anyone but you, and that my child is a rare gift." She explained sounding rather chipper. Drake's eyes narrowed, this was a bit much to take in in the middle of the night from a strange girl that snuck into his room.

"You said you had a warning for me?" Drake said changing the subject. The whole child of destiny was too heavy at the moment.

"Yes I do, but you are not going to like it." She said getting closer. "And I think it would be more believable if I showed you." She reached and tapped Drake on the forehead and he had a vision. It was Melanie, she was tied up, naked and being brutally beaten and stabbed repeatedly. It didn't look like it came from her mouth but in her mind she was screaming for him, begging for his help. When he came to from the vision Drake was already on his feet. Breathing hard, and all of his muscles tensed as he towered over the short Seer.
