"So how close is Melanie to having all the parts to complete the ritual?" Kyle asked sipping on a mug of warm blood. Drake looked up from his bowl of beans and weenies thinking.

"So she has the stone that she stole from the Vampire King. She also knows where the Brooch of Morrigan is, but I have to go and get it, that's why I gotta leave tomorrow and get back to them, its been over a week and the eclipse is coming in two so I gotta get moving." Drake explained and proceeded to shovel a large spoon full into his mouth.

"The Brooch of Morrigan is being held by the Skinner witch coven, she knows that right?" Kyle asked sounding a bit concerned.

"Yea, that's why I have to go they wont suspect me unless I'm around vampires." Drake explained mouth still full.

"And whats your plan? Take it at gun point? Steal it in the dark of night?" Kyle asked leaning forward in his bear skin covered seat at this point.

"Umm hadn't really thought about it I was just going to wait until the opportunity presented its self and take it. That is why I came here so I could learn more about subverting magic, in case I did have to take it by force."

"Boy, you have to be the most brilliant idiot I have ever encountered... and I'm immortal, that's saying something." Kyle said leaning back in his seat pinching the bridge of his nose with his thumb and index finger. "You cant just go and steal a one of a kind magical artifact from a coven of witches. If you want something from them you do one of two things, you take it by force or go ask politely to borrow it, and unless your banging one of them I don't see that going so well."

"Then how do you suggest I go about it?" Drake asked facetiously

"You don't, that wont end well for you kid." Kyle exasperated.

"Well I have to or everything me and Mel have been through will be for nothing."

"Look kid just hang tight for two more days and I will see if I can do something for you."

"Kyle, I dont have that kind of time." Drake said shaking his head vigorously.

"Do you trust me kid?"

"Yea, yea I do" Drake said after a pause nodding his head.

"Then give me an extra day so you don't end up a toad, or a pile of ash... You could spend that day looking through one of those old manuals, I think there might be some schematics for some gadgets you might find useful."

"Alright old man, one extra day is all I can spare, and that is it." Drake smiled.

"Okay, and your gonna pay for that old man line." Kyle said rising to his feet.

"Oh really, how?" Drake said rising to his feet too, grinning.

"Outside, right now, I'm gonna kick your young ass." Kyle said with a fanged smile.

"You sure you can do that? You already showed me everything you know." Drake taunted moving to the door.

"Not everything... you arrogant punk!" Kyle said with a laugh. The duo stepped outside and began their hyper speed dance of punches and kicks, they were all thrown with the ferocity and force that could demolish a car or a small structure, but they both were laughing and taunting each other through their attacks.

"Mia have you had any luck with a way we can find Drake?" Melanie asked from over he computer monitor.

"No, my grimoire only has the basic locator spell that I already know and I don't have the materials to do any of them." Mia said closing the leather bound book with a snap. "What you got?"
