"Where is he?" Mia awoken to the face of an angry orange eyed vampire standing over her. She and Melanie didn't really get along but she had never heard the vampire speak to her with this much venom in her voice. Mia looked behind her where she had last seen her boyfriend and he was clearly missing.
"I could ask you the same." Mia spat back, sitting up and throwing the blanket off of herself. "How long as he been gone." Mia demanded.
"I don't know." Melanie said stepping away and began rummaging around her desk. "But he took my truck." Melanie said angrily.
"Where could he possibly want to go? Home?" Mia wondered aloud, worry clear in her voice now.
"No hes not that dumb he knows his mother and your coven is looking for him, and if he is caught they could use magic to make him tell them where you are, he wouldn't risk your safety." Melanie said starting to tap at they keys on her keyboard.
"What's going on?" Tessa light voice came from the far corner of the lair. She stood up and stretched her pixie sized frame and walked over to Melanie's terminal as she worked.
"Drake is gone, and he took the truck." Melanie answered without looking up from her terminal.
"What? Where did he go, and he didn't take her with him?" Tessa asked regarding Mia.
"You got got a problem with me being here?" Mia shot
"Did I say that?" Tessa sassed back.
"Didn't have to." Mia said returning the tone she revived.
"Trust me girl if I had a problem with you, you would know." The firey red head said cocking an eyebrow.
"Oh yea?, is that right?" Mia said threateningly.
"Yea it is." Tessa said standing up straighter.
"Stop it!" Melanie snapped. "This is exactly what Drake didn't want and threw a fit about back in Miersville, and you two bickering is not going to help find him." Melanie said still clacking away at her computer.
"What should we do?" Tessa asked.
"I am currently trying to access the GPS on the truck to triangulate his location." Melanie said still clacking away at her computer.
"How did you get so good at this computer stuff?" Tessa asked looking amazed.
"The same way you are good at seducing young unsuspecting men... practice." Melanie said without looking up from her work. Tessa shot her a dirty look from behind her. "I saw that." This made Tessa looked confused at the back of Melanie's head.
"Dammit." Mia said to herself pacing back and forth.
"What?" Both of the vampires said in unison.
"I would cast a locate spell but I don't have the materials." She said not even looking at them.
"Is there any other way you can reach out to him?" Melanie asked. When she said that Mia's face lit up. "Its a long shot but I think I can make it work. I just need something that belongs to him." Mia began looking around as did Tessa. Melanie shot up from her chair and immediately went to her bag and pulled out a wooden stake. She walked over to hand it to the witch. Mia looked down at it then back up to Melanie.
"It has to be a little more personal than a weapon he wielded." Mia said crossly
"He was stabbed with this weapon... so his blood is in the fibers of the wood, i don't think it gets too much more personal than that." Melanie said with a matter of factually tone. Mia sighed and took the stake. She looked at it grotesquely for a moment, no doubt she was imagining the thing impaling her boyfriend.
