Spencer
Stephie always tells me I should stop pining after Elle, I'm not pining after her though. Interesting that she's noticed little things like that though. Just the other day on a case I noticed Stephie watching so I let Elle grab my hand to help me up this hill. Of course I intensely wiped my hand off afterwards but still, I could see her rage. Stephie doesn't know this but on the jet, when we're coming back from the sniper case, she fell asleep in my shoulder and Derek took a picture of it. Part of me wonder if that was an accident or purely her plan.
Gideon tells me to go for it, take a risk. I'm scared I'm reading into too much though, Stephie used to really hate me. She once replaced my coffee with hot brown water, do you know how uncomfortable that is to know you've consumed? She also use to hide my pens and pencils from me, I would have to ask her to borrow one so then I was knee deep in favors to her for borrowing pens. I know I could've asked literally anyone else but when you need a pen fast it's easier to ask the person next to you.
I also know Stephies type though, her type is Derek Morgan. And incase anyone failed to notice, I don't look like him at. I'm not brave, or incredibly strong, or have a nice body, plus, I don't know how to flirt.
"Oat milk latte," I place the cup on Stephie's desk and she smiles in amusement.
"Oh, Reid how sweet of you!" She jokes and then sips her coffee, even though she's the one who sent me very threatening text messages this morning about would what happen to me if I didn't get her one.
"It's good to see you two finally getting along," Gideon is walking past my desk as I sit down, I nod at his remark, it is nice.
After all of these years of her hating me and me pretending to do the same, Stephie finally has turned a new leaf.
"I don't know about you guys but I think we're due for a night out," Derek stands in front of Elle's desk which is across from mine, Stephie's is next to mine.
"Dido," JJ taps her own against a file and then looks up to Elle nodding. I'm not one for going out but I'll still go and join them.
"Whatcha say pretty boy? You in?" Derek looks to me and I give an awkward nod before turning to look at a zoned out Stephie, she does that a lot.
"Steph?" I mumble and she looks at me barely focusing in
"What? Oh, uh, yeah sure." She smiles and Derek claps his hands together once before walking to his own desk.
"Are you okay?" I whisper to Stephie and she nods her head slowly giving me a look that makes my IQ drop. If looks could kill, Stephie Foster would be a serial killer.
"Why would I not be okay? I'm day dreaming Spence, dreaming that I'm on a tropical island with one of those drinks, with the tiny umbrella, in my hand." She leans back in her chair and Elle laughs agreeing that she would like to join the party.
After a long day of files and paperwork the team, minus Gideon, all heads over to a bar just down the street. Hotch brings his wife, Hailey, along too. She's nice, I haven't talked to her much but she seems nice.
"I got another round of shots coming," Derek cheers finishing his drink, I watch Stephie down hers right after preparing for another round of shots I'm guessing. I don't really drink, I usually sit back and watch everyone make dumb choices. That usually consists of watching Derek dance with three different women all night long.
