"Patriots always talk of dying for their country and never of killing for their country"

Bertrand Russell

16 BBY

One by one, the pirates flee, the rebels fall, and fear becomes my greatest weapon in each sector. Being an ancient warship, the Fury was formidable in and of itself, but with my custom modification, it becomes even more potent. Because of my strong partnership with Commander Brandei, we have successfully destroyed numerous pirate strongholds and nearly forced the partisans to flee.

Additionally, this makes me more popular with the Emperor, who promoted me to commander after my successful attack and three-year skirmish on a large pirate stronghold that was well-known for destroying multiple imperial patrols. I used cunning planning and psychological warfare to accomplish this.As a result of my promotion, I was granted command of the Venator-II class Star destroyer, a formidable battlecarrier built from an outdated warship design. Being the ruins of an ancient republic, this ship makes me think a lot of my father. My father gave his life for the Republic, only to hear bureaucrats laugh and applaud.

As a result of my promotion, officers are also reassigned to my flagship, which is now known as the "Phalanx." Many first officers, military officers, and commanders have applied; the majority of them are pilots and crew members, but I have chosen a small number of them carefully based on their backgrounds, reputations, and personalities.

Now that Jorad has informed me in a recent private message from Coruscant that he was called for a special invitation of sorts, but it was classified, I am requesting Jorad's discharge. Lieutenant Tessa Varn is my choice for the new first officer. Her character is exactly like mine, and so are my strategies, which work flawlessly.

A special imperial army officer named Captain Heget applied for my ground forces; he is a capable military leader who can command from the ground rather than from behind the lines; this made him resemble my great admirer Hurst Romodi.

My next assignment, directly from Grand Moff Tarkin, is what justifies my approval and the requirements of a ground military commander. If I succeed, he tells me, I might be able to command my own fleet and be stationed in a particular sector under an admiral until further notice.

It will be challenging because my next assignment requires me to bring the rebellious Wookie leaders and their followers to life in order to perform heavy labour as a slave on the wet, tree-covered planet of Kashyyyk. After resupplying and preparing ground units, my small task force immediately departs for Kashyyyk. We head to the planet, ready to conquer and take control of Kashyyyk, because I've been told it will be crucial for the future.

I have nothing against the Wookies, but one of their clan members was part of the group that tried to take over the republic and betrayed the empire by helping a high-ranking criminal. He was charged with treason and executed as a result.
