"You can't say civilisation doesn't advance, for in every war, they kill you in a new way."

 Will Rogers

(A/N: Im not 100% going to follow the canon storyline, so there will be some changes to current lore since I'm integrating the legends storyline.

Like, I'm merely informing you ahead of time on the current situation before reading so you guys don't get confused or complain.

In this timeline, Thrawn is not a Grand Admiral yet, as in lore he became a Grand Admiral in secret at 2 ABY, which is 2 years after the battle of Yavin.

Also for the TIE Defender project, at first it belonged to Grand Admiral Zaarin. So in this chapter, it's to address some changes but also attract you guys to read the Legends comics because there are some good stories worth your time.

Also, I know this is a big time skip because, to be honest, with you guys, telling about what Kodo did to the sector in one chapter is merely a waste of time, so therefore it's best to compile it into a single chapter with another interesting event.

So yeah, Imma now stop yapping and enjoy your reading.)

2 BBY 10 YEARS AFTER THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE DARPA SECTOR...

As I look down at the current state of my sector, I am struck by stars that reflect both chaos and order, defining the galaxy's current state. This reflection prompted me to consider where my current career has led me. Fireworks illuminate the void, and celebratory screams reach the bridge of the Intrepid.

I can still vividly recall my first impressions of the Darpa sector. Although some may believe I am prepared, I was unsure whether I was worthy of the rank. After dealing with pirates, rebels, and now-unknown outside aliens throughout my career, I rose to the rank of Commodore just a few weeks after Operation Nemesis. Now that I've made some progress in this area, having guided them through difficult and forced reconstruction, it was supposed to become what people whispered was my personal domain.

I was able to militarily fortify and defend this sector after it had been ignored, proving that it had some significance after all. After I repeatedly proved my own doctrine's efficacy in sector patrolling, which rivals Tarkin doctrine in effectiveness, it was accepted into the Carida Academy. However, the Intrepid played a significant role in my success as they assisted us with the majority of our efforts to secure this sector.

Under the new AT-AT prototype, I think I can take advantage of the emperor's preference for the Tarkin doctrine and the fierce competition between them for military technology advancements on the ground. Even though this prototype is still in the experimental stage, it provides everything we need to approach a siege with such overwhelming force.

We made the decision to modify some of the AT-AT to turn it into a beast of a machine after experiencing innumerable failures and realising that we needed more firepower because of its flaws in design. By incorporating extra armour, or more secondary armour, as I like to call it, it becomes even more robust but also more powerful. We haven't used it to its full potential yet, but we're getting very close to solving this problem.
