Sexual addiction and deep kindness can ravage one's life like strongest drugs, brutally ripping both mind and soul apart
Kim Taehyung, an ordinary man, was caught in this destructive cycle. His situation worsened when he found...
The rhythmic tapping of the keyboard filled the spacious room, providing a soothing backdrop of sound. It was an impressive space, indeed. As one entered through the heavy oak door, the first thing that caught the eye was a grand office desk, cluttered with papers and topped with a sleek laptop. A plush, high-backed chair stood behind the desk, and immediately beyond it, a wall of glass offered a breathtaking view of the bustling cityscape below. Alongside these, comfortable couches were arranged strategically, and a door on the right side of the grayish wall hinted at an attached restroom, ensuring the comfort of the soon-to-be president of Min Ltd
Taehyung had been silently observing the room for the past forty-five minutes. The sun was setting, casting a beautiful array of purple and orange hues across the sky, which seemed more vivid than usual. Despite the forecast of rain that night, he couldn't help but admire the sunset. Eventually, his gaze moved from the mesmerizing scene outside to the man seated in front of him. Yoongi was engrossed in his work, his fingers dancing over the keyboard with determined precision. Yet, despite his concentration, he noticed Taehyung's prolonged stare and chuckled softly
"What are you looking at, Taehyung? Relax, alright? I sent a text to Dad explaining everything. I'm sure he won't disregard my words. Even if he does, it doesn't matter. I'll make sure you don't lose your job here" Yoongi said, his voice gentle and reassuring. He stopped typing and looked at the younger with a calm smile
Taehyung, who had been lost in his thoughts, lowered his head, nervously fidgeting with his fingers. He felt a mixture of shame and helplessness for needing Yoongi's help to secure his job. But he knew he had to seize this opportunity. Yoongi had spoken to his father about his situation and was now awaiting his approval to officially give Taehyung a position at the company
"You know, Tae, you're pretty interesting" Yoongi commented, his gaze intense and unwavering
Taehyung looked up, surprised "W-Why?"
"Sometimes you act like you need me so much, but other times you ignore my existence. Like that evening five days ago after you visited my home. I called and texted you many times, but you didn't respond" Yoongi said, leaning back in his chair and rocking it slightly
Taehyung stayed silent, his sweaty palms rubbing against each other. Yoongi's question brought back painful memories of that morning when he had tried to end his life. He had almost stepped off the fourth floor of the hospital, ready to plummet to the ground, but he couldn't go through with it. The thought of leaving Jungkook behind was too much to bear. The idea of his boyfriend moving on with someone else after his death was the final trigger that stopped him. Despite feeling weak, he wanted to stay a little longer with Jungkook, just a bit more. He had his whole life to contemplate such an exit, so why not spend some more time with his beloved first?
Taehyung was a mess. One moment, he felt a sudden urge to live, and the next, he wanted to die. The shame of being a coward, being an insensitive person, and causing pain to those around him haunted him badly. He endured it all alone, feeling undeserving of comfort. He hadn't even met Jungkook closely for five days straight, choosing instead to sit outside the room where Jungkook had been moved, watching from a distance without going in, without sitting beside him, without talking or touching his hand. The teen noticed, of course. He tried to call Taehyung inside, but Taehyung just lowered his head, too ashamed to face him
