Rafe x Reader x Pouges-Human

This is based off of the song Human by Rag'n Bone Man! I don't own this song! Also, we are a little angry with the Pouges in this one so if you don't like to be angry at the Pouges I suggest you skip. 

**Y/n POV**

I am currently running in the pouring rain with a tank top and short-overalls on. My hair is drenched and I have to keep wiping my face so I can see. Tears are also coming down my face which isn't a usual thing. I run down the street and turn to find myself facing a gate. I wasn't sure where I was going but this definitely wasn't where I thought I was going. I open the gate and close it behind me.

"Why am I doing this?" I whisper to myself.

I walk up to the Cameron house. I knock on the door. I hear footsteps and wipe my face for the millionth time. Rafe opens the door.

"Y/n, what are you doing here?" He asks with a small look of shock.

"I don't have anywhere else to go." I whisper as if ashamed.

"What did the Pouges do to you?" Rafe asks going into protective mode.

He automatically knows it's the Pouges since I would always go to them because it would usually be the Kooks.

"I- maybe I'm foolish or maybe I'm blind." I whisper.

Rafe looks at me for a second trying to figure out why I just said that.

"Y/n, come inside."

I walk inside and follow him into the living room. Rafe motions for me to sit on the couch and I do. I feel something warm go around my shoulders. I look behind me to see Rafe putting a towel around my shoulders.

"Thank you." I whisper.

"Yeah." Rafe says as he walks around the couch and squats in front of me.

I look into his eyes as he moves my hair out of my face.

"Now, tell me what's wrong." Rafe says.

"The Pouges and I got into a fight. We got caught by the police when we tried to sneak around a Kook house for a clue about the gold. It was my plan...."

I pause for a second to let Rafe process the information real quick. He gives me a small nod to continue.

"The Pouges.... they.... they think I can see through this and see what's behind but I got no way to prove it so maybe I'm lying.... But I'm only human after all..."

I look down only to look back up with Rafe's fingers on my chin.

"Take a look in the mirror and what do you see? Do you see it clearer or are you deceived in what you believe? You're only human after all." Rafe says.

I feel the anger rising in me. Rafe sees it and lets me stand up as he sits on the chair across from the couch.

"Some people got the real problems! Some people out of luck! Some people think I can solve them! Lord Heavens above! I'm only human after all! Don't put the blame on me! Don't ask my opinion! Don't ask me to lie! Then beg for forgiveness for making you cry! I'm only human! I make mistakes! I'm only human! That's all it takes to put the blame on me! Because I'm no prophet or Messiah! You should go looking somewhere higher! I'm only human! I do what I can! I'm just a girl so I do what I can! Don't put your blame on me.."

I stand there breathing heavy as I finish my most-needed rant. I look over at Rafe who is just listening to me.

"Do you feel a little better?" Rafe whisper-asks as he stands up and walks up to me.

"Yes, I do. Thank you." I say.

"For what?"

"For just listening."

"Anything for you." Rafe says as he kisses my lips softly.

I stand in shock for a bit as he leans away.

"Wh-what was that for?" I ask in shock.

Rafe only shrugs his shoulders.

"You know, that is very dangerous." I say still in shock.

"Yeah, I know but I didn't want to regret not doing it." Rafe says.

"Do you regret doing it?" I ask.

"No." he whispers as he kisses my lips again.

I wrap my arms around his neck to pull him closer. His arms wrap around my waist and lifts me up to deepen the kiss. I lift my head to look at him.

"JJ and John B are going to want to kill you." I whisper.

"Well, maybe this will teach them to not yell at My Girl." Rafe whisper back.

"Your girl?" I question.

Rafe only hums as he kisses me again. I can't help but smile into the kiss. This is not the type of day I had planned......
