No one likes cages. Especially Kiv. The stubborn, angry, human Jedi girl.

She woke up in, surprise, a cage. She was involuntarily standing up, her hands going straight up, chained to the ceiling, and her feet were chained to the floor. Before her was the leader of the Zygerrians, looking angry as ever.

"Why hello," Kiv said. "You sure look pleasant today."

"Kivera," he muttered, starting to pace around the cage. "You-"

"This isn't a super big cage, there's not much space to pace," Kiv interrupted. The Zygerrian stopped dead in his tracks. "Just get to the po-"

"Alright!" He yelled. "Fine, since you're such a nuisance." He growled. "You're getting moved tomorrow when we drop you off with the Empire. Until then, you will behave. Myself, as well as all of my men, will not hesitate to hurt you."

"Got it, dude." Kiv gave him a small sarcastic smile. He glared at her, and then walked right out of the cage, slamming the door so the whole thing shook around.

Luckily for Kiv, she wouldn't be getting dropped off with the Empire the next day. It was the day that the Bad Batch arrived.

She had been meditating, or at least trying to, when they showed up. They were the loudest, most rambunctious group of boys she'd ever seen, and she knew the 501st.

She did of course know the Bad Batch. Kiv had met them one time, just before they went on a big mission with Anakin, but of course, Kiv hadn't been brought along. She had just been starting to get her own missions to go on, so Kiv met them with Obi Wan, and was almost immediately sent off to deal with some Separatists.

Kiv watched from afar, after having been broken out of her meditative state.

They were brought to where the rest of the captured slaves were, nearby her cage. The big one, Wrecker, continuously tried to take off the collar, which of course prompted the Zygerrians to shock him. Kiv noticed that they appeared to be missing one, their sniper. Crosshair, if she remembered correctly.

The boss appeared from the tower, bandages wrapped around his shoulder. He was talking to them, no doubt informing them of their worth, as he did with the rest of the slaves. Kiv almost considered herself lucky, that she wasn't one of thor slaves. But of course, she'd be shipped off to the Empire that very day.

A rock fell down from right behind her cage. She turned as much as she could, trying to get a glimpse of what had caused it, but she was not able to spot anything. A few moments later, Wrecker kicked a large boulder at one of the Zygerrians, knocking him over.

Movement near the other cage caught Kiv's eye. It was a girl. She was blonde, and looked to be about thirteen. She landed on the cage, and proceeded to climb down the front of it. She fiddled with the door, and Kiv wondered why she would possibly want to open a cage with such a creature inside. Who is this girl? She wondered, Is she with the Bad Batch?

Her questions were answered as she was grabbed from behind by a Zygerrian guard. He dropped her down in front of the boss, and reported, "I found her sneaking around the cage."

"I wasn't sneaking," she announced, in an odd accent. "I was unlocking." She smirked, holding up the key to the cage. Behind her, the cage started to rattle.

"Secure the cage!" The boss ordered, and though the Zygerrians attempted to hold it shut, the rancor being held inside quickly ran out, yelling in triumph and aggression. "Stop her! Don't let her get away!"

The Bad Batch quickly used the distraction to release themselves and the other slaves, and the girl made her way over, clearly a part of the Batches team. The rancor ran away, Zygerrian slavers following closely after. The Batch then followed her, bringing the slaves along, and leaving Kiv alone. She grimaced, realizing that she had just lost her escape.

Kiv closed her eyes, trying to meditate once again. She slowly wrapped her hands around the chains attached to her arms, and attempted to break them. It took a few tries, and the chains were starting to cut into her hands, but she eventually got the left one to snap. She then used both hands to reach up and grab the other chain. Before she could get it undone, she heard voices growing, coming from when the Batch had disappeared after the rancor. This time, they were returning with the rancor in their possession.

She quietly undid the rest of the chains, trying not to alert the clones of her presence, which she found to be quite difficult due to Hunter's enhanced senses.

She had her hand through the bars, attempting to unlock the cell when his head snapped to her. Her brain flashed back to Order 66, seeing a similar clone helmet moving towards her. Her own future batch of clones stalking towards her, only murder in their minds.

Kiv shook her head, stumbling back in the cage. Hunter noticed she was startled and held his hands up, taking slow steps towards her. He slowly pulled his helmet off.

"Hey there, commander," he said with sensitive eyebrows.

"Stay away from me," she snarked back.

Hunter knew what was bugging her. "We're not gonna hurt you." She remained silent, but posed to attack if necessary as he reached the cage. He unlocked it and held a hand out to her.

"How do I know you're telling the truth?" she wavered.

He cocked his head. "You know."

He was right, of course. The force was a strong thing, and she was easily able to tell he had good intentions upon feeling out towards him. She brought her hand to him and allowed him to lead her over to the rest of the batch.

"Boys, Commander Kiv, we've met of course," Hunter introduced.

"Oh yeah! Kenobi's kid!" Wrecker yelled. She smiled slightly at the brute, before moving her eyes beside him to Echo.

"Commander," he greeted.

"Echo," she sighed, reaching forward to hug him. "I almost didn't believe it when Anakin told me."

Echo was on the verge of tears. He shrugged. "Here I am."

"This is sweet, but we must be moving," Tech interrupted, gesturing to the giant rancor on the ground next to them. Kiv nodded, nudging Echo on the shoulder before turning back to Hunter.

"Commander, this is Omega. She's a Jedi," Hunter introduced.

Kiv leaned down to Omega. "Hey there kid."

Omega's eyes were wide. "Can you really do magic?" Kiv grinned, reaching her hand out to the side and calling her lightsaber to her. "Woah. That's really cool, Commander!"

"Call me Kiv," she said, standing up and turning to follow after the clones. She hit Hunter lightly on the shoulder. "That goes for you too." She grins, running ahead and helping them carry Muchi with the force.

Once Muchi was on the Marauder, Kiv stood outside with Hunter and Omega, watching as the others prepared their ship to leave.

"Come with us," Hunter offered.

"I can't do that." Hunter opened his mouth to argue but Kiv put her finger over his mouth. "I can't put you in danger like that. Just having a Jedi around is dangerous."

"It's more dangerous for a Jedi to be on her own," Hunter retorted.

"I won't," she finished, turning to walk away from them.

Hunter reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her back.

"Please stay," Omega begged. Both of the adults looked to her in surprise. "It would be so cool. And you'd be safer."

Kiv made a face like she was considering, but she knew she couldn't stay with them.

"Just let us get you off the planet," Hunter tried. "I know you don't have another way off."

She rolled her eyes before walking past him onto the Marauder.

Hunter smiled, one of the first times Omega had ever seen it. She grinned, grabbing his hand and pulling him onto the ship.
