They have a Jedi with them.
Kiv sat straight up in the Marauder's cockpit, a blanket tucked loosely around her. She looked around, seeing that she was in a safe environment.
"Kiv, are you awake-" Hunter was saying as he walked into the cockpit. Upon seeing the distressed state she was in, he ushered over to her.
He kneeled in front of her, looking in her eyes, but they seemed glossed over. She almost couldn't see him.
"Kiv." He placed a hand on her face. She blinked a few times before finally looking at him. "What is it?"
She was back now, so she sighed, shaking her head. "Nothing. It's nothing." She pushed his hand off of her and tried standing up. She faltered. Her body was drained. She furrowed her brows, unsure why that would be the case.
"It's clearly not nothing," Hunter said, grabbing her arms and holding her steady. He dropped his voice to a whisper. "You can tell me."
She sighed, holding onto him for support. "I don't need you to be worried about me-"
"I already am worried," he said, his eyes soft as he looked into her.
She gave in, looking at him gently. "I-I think someones looking for me... and I think they're gonna find me."
"I'm not gonna let that happen," he said, rubbing his thumb across her arm.
Kiv looked down at his hand, and moved her eyes back up to him. Was she making it up? This chemistry between them? Did Hunter really care for her in that way, or was she just in distress because of her vision?
Hunter continued to just stare at her, and she seemed to notice a light pink start to coat his face, but she was probably making that up.
She pulled away from him, not wanting to make anything up in her own head. It was unlikely anyone could love her, especially a clone, who she barely knew.
He was disappointed, though her delusions would not allow her to notice it.
Hunter turned away. "Just let me know if you need anything."
I regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place. This message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi. Trust in the Force. Do not return to the Temple.
Obi Wan wasn't gone. He couldn't be. Kiv felt like he could still feel him through the force... almost.
Or Anakin... He was the chosen one. He still hadn't defeated the Sith yet.
And Ahsoka. Kiv's best friend. She couldn't find her through the force yet, but she didn't think she was gone. Or maybe that was the hope talking.
When Order 66 occurred, Kiv could feel the force shifting. The darkness taking over. She felt the deaths of the Jedi as their life force was moved back into the world in different ways. But her three friends? It was different. It was almost like they disappeared entirely. Their connections to the force severed, instead of repurposed.
They could be hiding... Maybe they were all together. Happy... Probably wondering if Kiv herself was dead.
A hand on her shoulder pulled herself from her meditation.
"I'm sorry," Hunter said gently. Kiv dropped back to the ground. She looked up at him, noticing the depth of his eyes. How his hair fell, the bandage hiding beneath it from where his chip was removed. Her face flushed pink, and she thanked the gods for the darkness around them to cover it up. "We're going to collect things from inside the cruiser. We could use a Jedi's help."
