The second AZI cut through the floor, Kiv hopped down. She glanced around it, double checking it was safe, then made her way back to the hole in the floor.
"All clear," she announced. A thud and Hunter was next to her again. He never left her side anymore unless he had to. She thought it was cute, though she knew she could handle herself.
They walked through, as slowly as they could while still making progress, cautious of the cracking glass all around them. Hunter was directly behind Kiv, keeping an eye on her and Omega, who was in front of Kiv. Kiv could almost feel his hand on her back, keeping her stable, but she knew it was just the force messing with her.
"We need to go back," Crosshair's voice echoed through the tunnel. Kiv rolled her eyes, turning to face him. "There must be another way."
Hunter put a hand on Kiv's shoulder, reminding her to think before snapping at him.
"Look, this is our best option, Crosshair," she said, calming herself down. But looking at Crosshairs sneering look riled her up again. "Y'know, if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be in this mess."
"Something on your mind, Jedi?" He stepped up to her.
"You didn't even try to come back," she said. "You abandoned your brothers for an Empire that doesn't even care about you. The same Empire that shot down Tipoca city without giving you a way out." Crosshair was silently watching Kiv. "They would've taken you back."
"Let it go, Kiv," Tech advised. "Crosshair has always been severe and unyielding. It is his nature. You cannot change that. He cannot change that."
Hunter lightly touched Kiv's shoulder, pulling her with him.
"Kiv, you-"
"If he makes one more comment, I'm going to punch him in the face," Kiv muttered. Hunter chuckled.
"AZI, this doesn't look very safe," Omega commented, looking at the cracking glass around them.
"Barring any further complications, this enclosure remains a viable means of transport," AZI explained.
"Let's keep moving," Hunter ordered.
They moved forward silently, but an overwhelming sense of danger overcame Kiv. She looked out into the water, Hunter watching her cautiously, as a roar sounded around them.
"Uh, I think we got a problem," Hunter said. He turned to Kiv. "Can you feel where it is?" She nodded, holding her hands out. "Can you do anything from in here?"
"Should be able to," Kiv said, her eyes closed.
Another roar sounded. "AZI, these tunnels are protected, right?" Omega asked the droid.
"Only when the power is operational, which it is not," AZI informed.
There was a moment of silence before Kiv found the creature, directly in front of them. Her eyes shot open as it came at the tunnel.
"Run!" She yelled to the others, using her hands to move it away from the tunnel. The clones all ran, Hunter lingering at the back. Keeping her focus on the creature, Kiv ordered Hunter to go with the others. "Keep Omega safe, I'll be right behind you."
"You better be," Hunter sighed before turning and following the others.
The creature started to follow the others, and Kiv groaned, running with it. It managed to bite the end of the tunnel, water starting to spray in. Kiv planted her feet, grabbing the creature again and pulling it away. It finally spotted her, realizing she was the cause of it not being able to reach the tunnel. It charged, swimming directly at her. Kiv groaned, redirecting it so it went right over the tunnel. Then there was silence. It disappeared into the murky water, and Kiv had lost track of it just like that. She glanced around frantically, trying to feel where it was.
