They were split up. They were both brought to Kamino together, but afterwards brought to separate cells.
Kiv sat in her cell, hands chained to the walls, because they clearly didn't trust a Jedi being left with her abilities. She stared forward, feeling almost numb. It had been barely a week since she had last been in the Empire's custody. She couldn't do that again. She never wanted to see Darth Vader or Darth Sidious again.
She reached out with the force again, something she had been doing every couple minutes, checking in on Hunter. It was probably not her smartest move, draining herself of her energy so quickly into her custody by the Empire, but she needed to do it, for her own sanity. She would send him a burst of good energy, hoping he was receiving it.
This time when Kiv reached out to him, there was another figure in his cell. It was Crosshair. Something was about to change, and Kiv was fearful of it. Kiv couldn't help Hunter from where she was, so she sent him one last quick burst of good energy.
Hunter could feel her energy, and though it made him happy, it also made him mad that she was wasting her energy to check in on him.
"I was hoping for the whole squad, but you'll do." Crosshair was standing before him. "And the Jedi. You've done the Emperor a favor bringing her back here."
Hunter growled at him. "What are they doing with her?"
Crosshair smirked. "She will be brought back to the Emperor, to continue her training."
No. Hunter couldn't let that happen. He couldn't allow her to go through that again. He couldn't see her in such a numb and scared state again. She was a powerful Jedi. Snarky and witty, and what the Empire had done during her "training" was simply remove that part of her. She had come back, but Hunter feared he wouldn't be able to rescue her this time, and she'd be gone for good.
"When?" Was all he asked. If he could figure out a way to get the Batch safely there before she was taken, maybe they could save her.
Crosshair smirked again. "Whatever plan you're concocting, it won't work. She'll still be here by the time I'm done with you, but you won't be able to stop the Emperor."
"I leave this to you, Commander," Admiral Rampart said. "Stay on schedule. Leave the Jedi with me."
Kiv stared through her eyebrows at the Admiral, unmoving.
One of the troopers pushed Hunter forward. "No!" Hunter argued, fighting to stay back with Kiv.
Her eyes softened, locking onto his as one of the troopers hit him with the butt of their gun. Kiv nodded softly at him as Admiral Rampart stepped to her, grabbing her chin and pulling her attention back to him.
It played over and over in Hunter's head. The last time he saw her. Moments later he had heard the clatter of a gun behind him and her grunts of struggle. He had grimaced, and Crosshair only continued on with that smirk ever present on his face.
The next time Crosshair entered his cell, Hunter immediately started begging.
"Let me see her," he begged. "One last time before whatever your plan is."
Crosshair sneered. "You really got yourself a Jedi girlfriend. Pathetic."
He had taken Hunter out of his cell, but after Hunter begged and begged, successfully annoying Crosshair, he was brought to the outside of another cell. He switched around Hunter's cuffs, putting his hands behind his back so he had even less mobility.
"I'll be watching, so don't try anything," Crosshair said before unlocking the door.
Hunter stumbled inside, finding Kiv chained to the walls.
