Kiv glanced up at her master, who had his hand placed in front of her face, warning her to stay back. Not until he gave his signal. She made an impatient face up at him, which only reminded him more and more of Anakin. His padawans had been like carbon copies of one another.
"Now," Obi-Wan whispered.
Kiv immediately took off in the opposite direction, doing a weird sort of sprint-crawl thing to get around to the other side of Dooku's throne room. It was an odd, empty room, with almost nowhere to hide.
She reached the other side, and ducked behind his throne, which was obviously not a good hiding spot, but she didn't need to hide for long. Just until Obi-Wan said the code word.
Then, just as she ducked back, the door to the room slammed open.
It was silent, and Kiv was holding her breath, trying not to alert him of where she was.
There was only the sound of his footsteps, echoing across the empty throne room. That sound alone could make someone feel just how overwhelmingly big it was.
Kiv sighed, hand on her saber. She was ready. Well... as ready as she would ever be. This was Obi-Wans first time bringing her on a mission of this scale. She wanted to prove herself. To prove that she was capable. She needed to prove herself-
"Hello, Dooku," her masters voice echoed out, just as Dooku's footsteps were nearing the throne.
"Obi-Wan," Dooku spoke nonchalantly.
"What a home you have here," Obi-Wan commented. Kiv was still waiting for the code words.
"Why are you in my home, Obi-Wan?" Dooku questioned, his voice resonating throughout the room like no other. It was almost like it had been made to help him seem intimidating. "Or should I say, Obi-Wan, and your padawan?"
Then, before Kiv could even register what had been said, the throne she had been crouching behind was ripped out of the floor in front of her. Then, it was thrown back at her, knocking her into the wall.
She grimaced, placing a hand on her head. Then, the weight of the chair was being pushed into her body. She was, of course, still a growing teenager, and was significantly smaller than the throne. She was pinned against the wall, and could do nothing.
"Now, Obi-Wan," Dooku said, not a hint of emotion in his voice. "Tell me what you're doing here before I flatten your padawans lungs."
