Daemon Targaryen
High Tide, Driftmark Island: 126 AC

Daemon kept both of his precious girls close as Laenor read Laena's eulogy. Vhagar roared and used her fire to sever the ropes of Laena's casket, sending his wife into the sea.

Rhaena began sobbing and ran into High Tide. Daemon rushed after her and found her in Laena's room, crying. "Ziry iksos daor litse! skoro syt gōntan muña emagon naejot morghūljagon?"

"Life is not fair, my little dragon." Daemon said soothingly, pulling her close. "But your mother would not want you to grieve. She would want you to be be happy and live."

Rhaena sniffled but nodded, and he took her hand and he guided her back to the funeral. Rhaena rushed to Rhaenys and his cousin embraced his daughter tightly. Baela had found comfort in her cousins. "I am sorry for your loss." Aelinor whispered.

"It hurts." Daemon sighed. "But I know Laena. She would not want us to be sad, but to celebrate her life, to move on but remember. Not her death, but her life and who she was."

"That's very true." Aelinor said. He turned to truly see her again and she was beautiful. He still loved her, he knew, but she was married now. The mother of children.

"I could bring back her ghost so Laena and the girls can properly say goodbye." Aelinor said, tucking back a piece of her white-gold hair. "They would be grateful for that." Daemon agreed.

The ritual happened that night, and Laena was able to properly say goodbye and Daemon talked to her privately.

"Love, Daemon. Don't hide your love from Aelinor. Just wait, you might get your chance. Live, husband. Live for yourself, for our girls.

Third Person POV
High Tide, Driftmark Island: 126 AC

"Was it done?" the Hightower knight asked the Maester. "Yes my lord. I shall rid the world of another dragon. And they won't suspect a thing."

Two days after the funeral of Laena Velaryon, Laenor Velaryon was dead in the halls of Driftmark. The assassin caught slipping poison in his wine was arrested, and the Greens trembled in fear as the White Queen swore revenge with Fire and Blood for her husband.
