━━━ ❛ it's necessary ❜chapter no. 003!
THE SUMMER DAYS WERE SLOWLY COMING TO AN END. And with it came coldness with dead trees. Leaving for the upcoming school year, however, was the eldest counselors who felt a desire to attend school. Some stayed behind, not wanting to find what school would be like for their age. Most of the children of Apollo had decided as a group to stay and care for the campers.
Many counselors felt a certain sense of nervousness and frustration about the upcoming year, yet they weren't needing that fear when Perseus Jackson assured their safety. The infamous hero of Olympus had his own kind of issues, being forced into therapy by his girlfriend who had been getting therapy herself. The son of Poseidon was reluctant on the subject and began skipping the lessons with the therapist's permission in a way.
Currently they had issues that would in fact interfere with these lessons however. The camp grounds of Greek demigods were filled to the brim with children. At times one could hear a loud yell of excitement, but maybe that was just Harley from the Hephaestus cabin in his sleep. At any rate, the loudest sound was coming from the large blue house in the edge of the camp. Its walls shook violently as words were shouted out.
"SILENCE PLEASE!" Chiron, the great centaur, shouted in annoyance. Although he had great patience for just about anyone, a few fourteen to fifteen demigods in a room wasn't exactly helpful. The crowd simmered its loud noises as Chiron began talking, "I'm sure you're all concerned on this. However, it wasn't much of a choice.."
"Right, right.." Travis nodder, "Connor, cheese wizz me." The Stoll brothers were two loud people. Travis, being an older brother was still immature, but always made sure Connor understood how serious matters could be. In any case he always attempted to ease the younger brother on serious matters with jokes and puns.
"I'm guessing this has something to do with Rachel's prophecy," Grover began. The two brunette boys stopped in their tracks and frowned stiffly.
"I thought we wouldn't talk about that," Connor shifted in his chair. Grover and the twin boys were around when Rachel Dare, their oracle, began speaking out a prophecy when they were playing bingo with Chiron and Annabeth.
"Relax, buddy. Everything'll be alright," Travis reassured him. His blue eyes looked at Percy's in a warning look, but he also looked lost.
"Yes, Grover. It has to do with the prophecy. The prophecy has to do with Nico, Travis, Connor..and Percy," Chiron mumbled cautiously. "Now, Percy holds a smaller role, obviously still major, but Nico and Connor have bigger issues than Travis or Percy. Atleast, that is what Annabeth suspects."
"However, she is somewhat incorrect," a narrow voice spoke out. The female goddess of crossroads and mist entered the demigods' viewpoint in a slow motion. Travis gulped in defeat and kneeled down along with the rest of the campers.
"Lady Hecate— I wasn't expecting you to be here," Annabeth mumbled in surprise. As architect of Olympus, Annabeth Chase had the privilege to meeting many minor gods as well as Olympians. The minor Goddess of crossroads was included in that crowd.
"Yes well, no one realy expects the fates to cut the thread, but here we are," the brunette grimaced. She had a low sense of humor, yet it only made her more bearable. "Now, we have much to discuss. Unfortunately."
