Huxley's POV

Her wavy blonde hair is keeping me from seeing her entire face, but I know for a fact that the girl in front of me is Estelle. While the strong wind pushes her hair in front of her face it is also blowing a hint of Estelle's vanilla perfume towards me. God, how I missed that smell. This moment better not be a dream, but it's too good to be true.

''Huxley.'' Her soft voice calls out.

I stand here frozen.

''Huxley.'' Again that sweet sound.

I blink a few times to see if she's really standing in front of me.

''Huxley can you hear me?'' Estelle's angelic voice calls out.

It's just us standing on opposite sides of a bridge surrounded by leafless trees with mountains in the background. The sun is setting, the street lanterns start to flicker and as the sky turns pink I feel my legs moving towards Estelle. It happens automatically, she just draws me in without me even noticing it.

I feel my legs speeding up to get to her as soon as possible, as I'm almost running towards her. But I don't have to run anymore as she meets me halfway. I can't wait any longer, it's been too much for me to be at such a distance from her. I pull her into a big hug and lock my arms around her, making sure she doesn't escape from my grip. As I'm hit with her sweet scent and her warmth also engulfs me. Home, that's what she feels like. My home. My heart. My Estelle. There she is. Finally back in my arms.

I put some distance between us to look into her grey eyes, whilst not letting her go. She might tell a lie but her eyes don't. I can see that she has missed me just as much as I missed her. My heart starts to beat faster. Excitement, happiness but also anxiety. Now that I finally have her I wont let her go.

''Promise you'll stay Sunshine?'' I say.

Estelle lets out a small laugh. Her soft lips move upwards. She's smiling at me.

I get distracted by her cute dimples that slowly start to show on her cheeks.

I await her response.

She seems to take her time, but eventually it comes.

''Oh Huxley. I just came to say hi.'' She says nicely. But to me it's everything but nice.

I grow nervous. ''Estelle, don't tell me you're leaving again."

She starts to laugh uncontrollably. I've never seen her be like this before. And she doesn't seem to stop herself. Her laugh starts to get louder and louder. Eventually the humorous sound starts to leave.

When she finally gets herself together the friendly look on her face has disappeared. Fierce eyes look up at me with no good intent.

She motions for me to move closer to her face with her finger. And like the hopelessly in-love fool I am, I do so. When I'm so close to her, that our noses are almost touching, I stop my face from moving. My body grows anxious.

I see Estelle getting ready to speak up and I'm giving her my undivided attention.

''I'm not staying Huxley, you gotta wake up.'' Her voice roams around my ears.
