Sorry for the late update. Was busy with finals. Uni's tough, anyways here's a new chapter!
Estelle's POV
My head is still in the clouds after last night with Huxley. He blew my mind in more than one way. And today I'm seeing Huxley again. I'm headed towards the bookshop for my shift anticipating whatever will happen today. After yesterday I don't really know how to face him. We didn't go all the way yesterday but it was intimate enough for me to be shy about it. I'm daydreaming again. I imagine his big hands wrapped grabbing my waist and his mouth close to my neck whispering sweet nothings into my ears. I shiver at the thought.
I shake my head to get rid of these distracting thoughts. Chill Estelle. You had a good time with him, you can now get your focus back. And I do. I get myself together before I enter the bookshop.
When I walk in I'm greeted by a smiling Huxley, emphasis on smiling. He is wearing a soft expression on his face. Big brown eyes are admiringly staring into my grey ones. Heat rushes through my body when I meet his eyes. Okay Estelle calm down.
I take a deep breath before I try to speak but Huxley beats me to it.
"Hey." He says with his deep voice. There's still a smile on his face.
I answer. "Hi."
Huxley walks towards me with enthusiasm. "How are you feeling? Sleep well?"
I sigh. I slept okay. After he walked me to my room and said goodbye I immediately let myself fall onto my bed but I didn't sleep right after. I honestly think it took me one or two hours before I actually fell asleep. My body was still jittery after the time in spend with Huxley alone.
Should I be honest with him or not? I think it over for a second before I give him a response.
"Actually." I say while my cheeks turn into a light pink.
I scratch the back of my head and shudder. "Um."
Just spit it out Estelle.
Breathe girl.
"It took me awhile before I fell asleep." I say honestly.
I stare up at him in anticipation. Judging from the look he's giving me he seems to be amused.
Huxley smirks before he starts to speak. "What happened? What made such an impact on you that you couldn't sleep."
I hear the amusement in his voice. I shake my head disapprovingly. Now he's just teasing me.
"Okay cut it out, you know why I couldn't sleep." I say not knowing where that boldness came from.
Huxley moves closer to me, close enough to grab me by my waist and pull me to him. His hands are now firmly gripping me to keep me in place. I look at him with surprise written all over my face. I look around the shop to see if there are costumers.
"Huxley let go of me, we're at work." I hiss.
He just laughs at me. "No one's here Estelle." He whispers.
His voice echoes through my ears.
"Still, someone could come in!" I say trying not to panic. I wouldn't want to be caught like this by a costumer.
Huxley smiles mischievously. "Don't worry I'll look around for you. Now please answer my question. Why couldn't you sleep?" He asks me softly.
I move my hands up to his chest to be able to create some distance between us in case he moves any closer to me. Can't let that happen, because I wouldn't be able to concentrate on my work at all.
