MAKARIA

I glared at Eros before returning to my human-like form. I ignored the stares as I walked back to the school.

My quest was almost done. Persephone could easily lift the curse now.

"You need to lift the curse, mother." I told her as she followed me.

"I don't think it's wise to do so, my love." She replied hesitantly.

"And why is that?" I stopped walking and looked at her.

She looked around as if making sure no one heard before saying, "There's a reason Rosalie placed that curse in the first place."

I furrowed my brows.

"What do you mean? It was a long time back."

She sighed. "Ria, Rosalie didn't place the curse to hurt it's people but to protect them."

"Mother, what are you saying?"

She was being mysterious to the point that she didn't want to say it out loud, and I didn't know what scared me more...Persephone being scared from something, or the fact that she was being honest.

It was terrible either way because she was never like that before.

"There are things that you don't know about. Beings that threaten even the Titans. Rosalie cursed this land because she cared about its people. She loved her people."

Wait a minute. Didn't "her" people murder her?

She immediately understood what I wanted to ask.

"They didn't kill her, Makaria. They tried to protect her."

"Who were they?" I asked in a serious tone, making it known that I was curious. I needed to know because even if I couldn't admit it out loud, I cared about these students.

Well, not all of them.

"They are a royal family...a werewolf royal family. They believed that this land is there's because the moon is always crescent here. Didn't you realize?"

"But what about the werewolves in this school? How can they shift when they want?"

"Not all of them could. Only those who were half-werewolves could freely shift whenever they wanted."

"Okay, so where is this family?" I asked.

"Zeus fought them, and they left. Even then he couldn't bear to kill supernatural beings. If the curse is lifted, there is a huge possibility that this family would come back and kill everyone here."

"Why doesn't he give them this land?"

"I don't think it's my place to answer. You should ask your uncle."

I rolled my eyes. "You can't tell me the whole story and gatekeep the most important question."

"It's his secret, Makaria. He will tell you when it's time."

I glared at her and went back to the school.

Everyone was back by the time I reached and for some odd reason, I felt that they couldn't look me in the eyes.

I knew this would happen when they see my true form. Not anyone could bear looking at a demon. Only four people really accepted me the way I was, my mother, my sister, Hades, and Eros.

Speaking of Eros...

"You! Follow me." I yelled at him and strolled to the nearest empty classroom.

I was fuming.

How could he kiss me on the cheek in front of everyone? Hell, even if we were alone. I wanted to kill him.

"Ria..."

"I will kill you, Eros! How could you do that?" I screamed at him. "You could've gotten killed, you bastard!"

When he heard that, a huge smirk replaced his straight-lined lips. I knew I shouldn't have said that, but I couldn't help it.

What many people didn't know was that I didn't have 100% control over myself when I am in my demon form. I could hurt and kill without realizing. Blood would be the only thing I see.

"You were scared I'd die?"

"Not really." I coughed.

"Admit it." He walked closer.

"There is nothing to admit! I only thought of what I would tell Zeus when he learns that I killed his pet."

He didn't get offended. He smirked even more.

"Stay back." I scowled at him when he moved even closer.

"What are you going to do if I moved closer?"

"I will kill you."

"Really?"
