MAKARIA

It was as if I was watching a horror movie; albeit no amount of horror could scare me. I was horror itself. But the shock on the students' faces and the inexperience with fighting with people instead of training, got their legs frozen to the ground. Well...that was until my powerful demon voice shook them more that they realized what was happening.

Our wolves were the first in line to make contact with the enemy—followed by the witches, then fairies, then the centaurs, and finally by the vampires. Werewolves and vampires...do not mix well.

A werewolf's bite is lethal to the vampire, and the vampire's blood could turn the wolves into something that they despise.

I couldn't stay...I knew that. Persephone wanted me to help her lover boy and help them escape, but I couldn't leave. A sense of responsibility and loyalty struck me as I watched the students fight for their actual land and school. They were fighting for freedom.

"Makaria, you promised!" Persephone warned.

I looked at her with disapproval. "I promised to help you after I help them."

With that, I joined the battlefield alongside Eros and the rest.

Just as we figured, these wolves were very strong—stronger than ours. They seemed to have experience and knew what they were doing.

A grey wolf ran towards me and attacked me. My back hit the ground as I didn't have time to react. But before the wolf could even remotely lower his head to take a bite, I changed into my demon form and killed him instantly with my demon powers. The other wolves from his side stood for a second to take in what just happened, before lounging at me.

5 wolves came my way but didn't reach as I struck them dead.

I could see Ares and Alexander fighting two wolves, managing to knock them out. Alexander told me before that he would not kill any of his kind as he thinks that they might join us for sparing their lives, but how could you make sure? I didn't listen to him. I was going to kill as much as I could.

Killing other three wolves, I shifted my attention to Phoebe and Helen, who stayed fighting together. Well...only one of them remained standing as a wolf managed to scratch Phoebe's neck, killing her instantly.

Not that I liked Phoebe, but I felt 1% bad for her. If she went to hell, I'll make sure to treat her nicely—only because she wasn't too annoying.

When Helen saw Phoebe's dead body, rage filled her eyes as she went on a killing spree. She suddenly got stronger and used all her energy to fight.

When the battle was over—with us winning of course, thousands of dead bodies scattered around the woods. Many of us died. They were equipped for this kind of fight—especially not with hundreds year old werewolves, but alas, we won.

Phoebe and George were the only ones who died (from the people that I knew), while Gloria got badly injured, but it wasn't something that should couldn't heal from.

We didn't know if more would come, but I was sure there were more of them out there somewhere. But I couldn't stay to find out as I promised my mother to help her with her...love issue.

Besides, Hades wouldn't let me stay after I finished my quest. He would want me back.

Not having time to say goodbye, my mother and I opened a portal to hell and got in.

Before going fully in, I looked back only to see Ares and Eros looking at me.

With that, I disappeared, knowing that I will not see them...ever again.
