"Jule? Jule, are you listening?"

Jule blinked, staring at the blondie in front of her. She adjusted her glass and carried a grim look on her face as she stared at Jule.

"What was that?" Jule asked.

The blond girl groaned in exasperation and held out a piece of paper to Jule's eyes. Jule couldn't read it, since it was so up close.

"Did you mind getting it out of my face?" Jule asked, indicating to the blond girl that she couldn't see the reading on the paper.

Blondie groaned again and pulled the paper back so Jule could get a better glance. Jule squinted her eyes to try to make the words out, cause now she just pulled it way too far. Jule didn't say anything about it, knowing if she did, the girl would just walk away and scream.

With just a little more squinting, Jule finally made out what the words were.

It said:

This Friday, huh? That's tomorrow. Jule nodded her head, she was definitely coming. Well because of Shari, but that was inconsequential.

"Well?" The girl asked, agitated. Jule couldn't help but get an odd vibe around this girl, she was not very fond of Jule for some reason. Jule just wished she knew why.

"Um, I'm going. Why? Are you in charge of the tickets?" Jule asked, hoping she could get one from her now. That way she meet up with Nate sooner. The girl just shook her head and walked away, tapping something on her tablet. Jule raised her eyebrows, right then Shari came in. She wrapped her arms around Jule in the hugest bear hug of all times, her blonde hair brushing Jule's face. Wow, seeing a lot of blondes today.

She pulled away, and stared at Jule happily before pulling her hair out of her face. Jule thought it could only be two things as to why she was so hyped up. She was either excited for the formal, or happy to see me. Jule was going to go with the second option, since she was as-a-matter-of-fact amazing. Shari was Jule's best friend, she would always get hyped up when it came to Jule. They met in middle school, seventh grade. Shari was popular and out there, and Jule was on the down low. Like low profile, or whatever people called it.

They were in the same class together, and Shari never noticed Jule until she spilled water on her oh-so-expensive dress. Shari cussed her, and Jule walked away. She didn't even bother saying sorry, she would've if she never got cussed. Couple days later, Shari made Jule's life a living hell. Embarrass her in every single possible way, Jule ignored it till she said something about her parents. So Jule slowly started to make her life a living hell, but more intense. Not getting into details, it was Shari who called it truce and they were friends since then. Slowww friends.

"Hey," she grabbed Jule's hands, "I got news."

Jule slowly and awkwardly removed her hands from Shari's grasp, and frowned at her. Jule wasn't the handsy type, it was touch much of an invasion of privacy. Well, except when it came to her boyfriend. "What?"
