Jule groaned, they have been on the boat for such a long time! She actually wanted to jump in the water for something to do, and Ace wasn't helping. He was quiet as he paddled. It was killing her, the bright of it was that he wasn't upset.

She stared at the blazing, it was bright and lucky. By lucky, the sun has whole view of everything basically. The thing is in outer space, and they still see it well on Earth. Jule thought it was amazing, she wished she could be the sun. Burn anyone who would cross her, with Ace probably being the first one.

"When you're done staring at the hot sun, could control for a minute?"

Jule looked at Ace, he was sweating on his forehead. The wound he had on it that he got from the Bigfoot thing was closed, and begging for a bit more medical attention. His hair was as usual disheveled, and his green were filled with exhaustion.

Jule then felt bad, she didn't actually meant for him to be overworked. Without a another thought, she took the paddle, and began doing it herself. Ace took a water bottle out of his bag, and began chugging it down. Jule suddenly remembered when he first gave her a water bottle and claimed that would be the only one she would get to have for a week. Here he was, chugging it down as if he hadn't drank anything for years.

"You know," Jule started, "that could be your last one for the week, right?"

Ace stopped drinking, and smiled at her. She knew, he knew what she was talking about. She raised her eyebrows, wondering what he was doing to say now she had said that. He then shook his head. "No, for me its only for a day."

Jule glared immensely as her mouth widened with disbelief. "What?!"

Ace laughed, and her hands itched to smack the paddle towards his face. Just as she was going to slap him with water, the boat shook. Jule widened her eyes, unconsciously clutching onto Ace's shirts. He frowned, immediately looking down.

Jule looked at him worriedly. "What the h- "

The boat shook again, but with more force. This time, Jule threw the paddles towards Ace, terrified. Something was moving in the water, and that would mean she might be pulled in. She hoped to hell it wasn't what she thought it would be. But in this world, anything could happen.

She looked around, hoping some shore could appear. No use. There was nothing, but water. They looked like they were in the middle of nowhere! Jule clutched her stomach, she thought she was going to be sick. The boat shook even more, so much that she thought she was going to fall over.

Ace glared, and immediately grabbing his sword. He stared intently, seeming to wait for something. Jule panicked, staring at the water worriedly as she clutched the boat so hard her knuckles turned white. Finally Ace sliced the water in a swoop. Jule was shocked blazing fire she saw revealed under the water by the sword.

He pulled the sword, and a dab on green liquid rests on the tip. Ace widened his eyes as he continued to stare at it, eyes filled with sudden recognition and shock. Jule scoot forward, feeling the anxiety rising from her throat.

"What is it?" She asked anxiously, looking from the sword to him repeatedly.

He looked at her, eyed still wide. "Mermaids."

Several things shot up from the water, swung over the boat, and dived into the water again. Jule widened her eyes, what she just saw were tails. Her lips began tremble uncontrollably. They were mermaids in the water! She turned to Ace, and he was looking fiercely down at the water. He was prowling, and she was terrified.

Mermaids, they were supposed to be good right? Like the one from My Little Mermaid? She didn't know, and hoped to find out just that. She opened her mouth to ask Ace, but couldn't find herself forming words. She felt as someone if had stuck a needle into her that caused her body to become numb. It was definitely a feeling she loathed, deeply.
