Jule eyed the jar of some type of acid sap inside it, she wondered if she could a pen of her own like that. She knew she said it was lame, but if she actually had that to transform into anything she wanted, she would be rich.
She turned to Ace who was gathering his bag and other materials, smiling. "So Ace, is there any chance you have another one of those magical pens?"
Ace turned his head, arched an eyebrow at her, slowly smiling. " I thought you said that it was lame."
Jule rolled her eyes, almost dreading she had said that. Almost. "That was before you said it could transform into anything."
Ace stood up, carrying his bag over his back. Jule frowned, as he shook his head, walking ahead of her. Jule was going to protest walking so soon, but he already spoke. "You are not going to transform it into gold."
Jule widened her eyes, thinking he must be psychic. Yep, she loved her sarcasm. She began walking after him, shrugging her shoulders. "So what? It wouldn't hurt anyone."
He shook his head again. "It actually would. You see, you wish for gold, and guess what? You get tons of money for it, soon known as one of the richest woman in the world."
She finally was at his side, smiling. She still see the problem, how wishing for gold would hurt anyone. At all. Being rich isn't a crime, its a miracle. " Yeah, and...?"
He looked at her sideways, mouthing no before he spoke. "That's becomes a problem. The gold doesn't last for long, probably for a couple weeks. People become outraged, they their money back, thieves, bankrupt, mobs, etc. Straight out chaos."
Jule pursed her lips, looking elsewhere. "Your just thinking the worst that could happen. That's what they call pessimist."
"Of course. I'm just taking precautions."
Jule shook her head, never in her life had she disapprove of something this much. Well, one of the things. Shari would've said something like that, Jule missed her. She hadn't even left her a text message, or something. She and Nate were probably worried, and there would've been no way to contact her. Unless...
Jule took out her cellphone from her pocket, she tried turning it on. It doesn't work. Her opened wide, in complete shock. In another world, her phone couldn't even turn on. Outrageous! She hated this world, that was it, she hated it.
She turned to Ace, glaring. "I hate your world."
Ace frowned, looking at her for a brief second before looking forward. "Why?"
"It won't let me turn my phone."
He shrugged. "So?"
Jule raised her eyebrows. "So? I need to text my best friend, and my boyfriend."
Ace looked at her, seeming to be stunned. She frowned, not understanding why he was looking at her like that. He was shocked when she was serious, its another weird thing in this world. Just as she was going to ask what's with him, he had already answered.
"You have a boyfriend?"
Jule nodded, not understanding why that's so shocking. "Yeah, so? What's the problem?"
Ace frowned, looking forward once more. Jule frowned deeper when he was shaking his head, it was confusing. He doesn't seem too happy on the topic, and that was bugging her. He didn't answer, and she didn't ask again.
She didn't even want to think about his problem, and wanted to instead focus on how to get in contact with her fellow people. But she couldn't, she couldn't but think why he was upset all of a sudden again and how she could somehow fix it.
She usually wouldn't think about this, but it couldn't be helped. She suddenly hated it as much as she now hates this world...even more. If on-
THUMP!
She yelped as her bum fell to the ground, pain through it to her stomach. She groaned, slowly trying to stand up. She looked over for Ace, and he fell against a tree. He groaned, standing up before arched his back.
THUMP!
She felt herself falling again, managing to see Ace had done the same. This time, he quickly got up and ran over to her. He grabbed her arms, and picked her up in a swoop. Without any kind of warning, he began running pulling her with him in the process.
THUMP!
He fell, with Jule on top of him. She was so confused at what was happening, but she knew well that they were running from something. Ace stood up immediately, wrapping his bag around her shoulders before bending his back. Jule caught on quickly, and hopped on it. He began running again, carried her as if she were as light as a paper.
THUMP!
His knees were bent on the floor, and now he stood back up, running again. Jule couldn't understand how he could do this so greatly. He was amazing. And they were in trouble. She stared worriedly, even if he couldn't see her. "What is that noise?"
THUMP!
He fell again on his knees, breathing heavily. But within a second, he stood back up again. He ran, faster than she thought he could. "Bigfoot."
Jule widened her eyes, and looked back. There it was, very far ahead. She could see it, big hairy feet. Trees were being knocked down violently as the thing stomped. "That thing actually exist?!"
THUMP!
He fell, and stood back up. Seeming determined, he ran again. Jule could suddenly tell he was losing his breath, but that didn't stop him from trying. Jule looked back at the creature's feet, it was huge. She tried looking up, she couldn't see the face. The thing was too tall!
THUMP!
He fell again, standing back up and running again. Jule wanted to jump off his, now he was wheezing. The last thing she ever wanted to was kill him, Bigfoot was close and they looked like that hadn't even moved an inch.
THUMP!
He fell, and this time it took him longer to stand up. Jule got off him, and he stood. Whipping his body around, and glaring at her immensely. "What are you doing?!"
"I can't kill you."
THUMP!
They fell, and she groaned. She fell to her side, and finally decided she wasn't going to stand up again. Ace was immediately at her side, and began shaking her. "Get up! He'll crush us."
THUMP!
Ace fell against her as she bounced. She groaned hard, moving to other side. Her left side hurt, she felt like she broken a bone. Ace immediately removed the bag from her shoulders, and wrapped it over his. He reached out his hand to carry her, and Jule slapped it away. She was too much in pain to move, or let him touch her.
THUMP!
Both her, and Ace bounced. She groaned loudly, moving to clutch onto a tree. She saw hands trying reach her again, and she slapped it away. Looking up, she gasped once she saw Ace's face. His temple was bleeding, and a tear slipped out his eye.
She never would've thought that would happen, he seemed too tough. She let go of the tree, and weakly moved towards him. Despite the pain on her side, arm, or bum.
THUMP!
She managed to grab his head before they bounced, wrapping her arms around it safely. She sitting on her butt, but it hurt like hell. Ace managed to mumble for her to stop, weakly trying to remove her arms. She didn't do so, not wanting him to die.
THUMP!
She yelped, the pain slowly becoming unbearable. She looked down at Ace, and his eyes were closed. Body motionless. Panicking, Jule placed a hand over his chest. His heartbeat was faint, which meant he was still breathing, just passed out.
She sighed in relief, and without thought kissed his head. She hasn't lost him yet, and didn't want to lose him now. She looked back for how close Bigfoot was, and her lips began trembling uncontrollably.
It was here.
