Jule groan as she was plumped down on the ground with a hard thud, and rolled over the grass in agony. She didn't like being forcefully dragged like this, most importantly, she didn't like the fact that she might be screwed. Her and Ace.
Speaking of, she immediately cast her gaze around in search for him. She hoped he wasn't dead, she needed him. Entirely. When she finally spotted him far back, she got on her legs and rushed. Ace was groaning in pain, and he writhed as if he were trying to get out of someone's grasp.
Jule opened her mouth as she felt her stomach, nothing was there and she was fine. As for Ace, he still looked like he's being grabbed. Jule shook her head, it was impossible. Everything in this world was impossible, yet she sees it with her own two eyes. Now she couldn't see what was hurting Ace, it suddenly angered her.
Jule raised her fist, looking at the stomach with great anger. "Whatever you are, you're gonna get the hell off Ace." She began punching at his stomach, felt something rigid. With more force she continued, but its done nothing. It hasn't even move an inch. Impatience swept throughout her body, and tried a different approached.
Pulling out the sword Ace had given her, Jule slashed the thing at his stomach.
"Eeeeeek!"
Jule looked around from where the voice was coming from, and saw nothing. She groaned angrily, and stood up without a second thought. She wanted to know who the hell was messing with them, and where the hell they were.
It wasn't till then, she suddenly saw a dark tower in front of her. It was bricked black, and looked ancient. Very tall, and big. She couldn't understand why she didn't notice before, it was only a few several inches away from her. It was wasn't there before, and now she seen it.
A cough was sounded as well as grunting. It caused Jule to look behind her, and see Ace crawling on the ground weakly. His face looked barely injured when he struggled to lift his head up and look her, it worried the hell out of Jule.
"Jule," he coughed, "you gotta run."
Jule shook her head. "Why?"
Ace only coughed, and it blood came out of his mouth that time. Jule immediately bent down, and grabbed a hold of his head. She held on to him gently, unwilling to let him go. He was badly hurt, and it was no joke. Worst of all, she didn't know how to help him.
"Zena and the Overlord," he coughed once more, "it was them. They were the ones who attacked us."
Jule took a glance at the tower before looking back at Ace. Her became shaky. "So what, we're in front of their home? What the hell do they want from us?"
Ace gripped her hand hard, looking in her eyes with great concern. "Stay alive, I can't afford for you to die. That's," he slowly fluttered his eyes closed, "not an option."
Jule quickly circulated her gaze around him, hoping there was sign that he was still alive. When she saw none, she began shaking him rapidly. "Open your eyes Ace!" She continued with more force, desperate. "Tell me you're not dead."
He didn't respond, and it only made her more angry. She shook him with even more force, more desperate. "Dying isn't an option for you either, stay alive too idiot!"
There was still no response, and it caused Jule to grow more desperate. She was almost willing to throw a rock at him, just to get him back alive. A drop flew down onto his cheek, and Jule suddenly felt her cheeks wet. She was crying, and she hadn't cried since her parents disappeared on her.
Ace's lifeless looking body risen from the ground, and it was not Jule who'd done it. Jule's felt her lips tremble as Ace was continued to rise, he was being pulled away from her. In time, Jule grabbed a hold of his arm. She didn't know who'd done this exactly, but she wanted to kill them.
