Jule once again, walked in the meadow. She didn't think she'd encounter another one, but the book led them to it. She just hoped she didn't see anymore of those deadly wolves, she'd like to keep her arms.
Speaking of, Jule glanced at it. It had thin scars, but overall it healed. She was glad, she wouldn't die of rabies. Ace kept walking, silent. Jule figured he was still recovering from his confrontation to his father. She tried to say things that would make him hoot in laughter, but he only gave a mere smile.
It irritated her after a while, she didn't like the silence. Placing herself to stand in front of him, she put her palm over his chest which was shockingly solid. Ace frowned, eyes perplexed.
"What's with you? You're not talking."
Ace shrugged, seeming to be hopeless. "Do we always have to talk?"
Jule frowned, and kept her mouth shut. The moment was awkward, but ideally agitating. She didn't want to force him to talk, and had to admit he had a point. So she suppressed the urge to talk, her mouth sealed.
Ace seemed to notice this, and cracked a small smile. Jule frowned, wondering why he was doing that exactly. But she didn't open her mouth to ask why. Ace then stopped walking, which made Jule to also stop walking.
"You know," he began, "you're amazing."
Jule raised her eyebrows, she did not see that coming. "Yeah, why?"
He began walking again, looking down, keeping his smile. Jule followed. "You didn't want me to regret wondering for the rest of my life why my father had left me, so you pushed me to confront my father even when I wasn't willing to myself." He stopped, looking at her with soft eyes. "I appreciate that."
Jule slowly smiled, she was glad. Looking out ahead, she nodded. Yeah, then I really am amazing."
Ace laughed, nudging her on the shoulder playfully. Jule laughed as well, she loved moments like these. She thought this whole time in this world would suck, even if Ace was coming along. But it's been a great besides the wild creatures.
"ROOOOOAAAR!"
Jule stopped walking, eyes wide. Ace had done the same, stuffed the book in his bag, and grabbed a hold of Jule's hand before running. Jule yelped at the force he was using, scared as hell. She almost stumbled when he quickened his pace.
She knew it was another creature, but she didn't dare look back to see if it was behind her. Instead, she looked around in front of her. It was like they were in the middle of nowhere, there was no shelter whatsoever, not even trees. Damn, she hated meadows.
"ROOOOOAAARR!"
Jule gasped, and Ace looked back. His eyes shone with worry and fear, which made Jule feel frightened all the more. He seemed to notice there was no point in running, and stopped. Jule's lips began to tremble, afraid she would any moment now.
Ace removed his bag from his shoulders, and knelt down searching through it. Jule took the time to look at what they were facing, seconds from losing control of herself. The creature was green, it was big, scaly, flapping its gigantic wings towards their direction.
"Dragon." Jule whispered, falling on her knees subconsciously. The dragon roared once more, causing Jule to shake her head slowly. It opened its wide mouth, she could see a ball of fire forming. "We're screwed."
"Not yet." Ace differed. Just as the fire escaped the dragon's mouth and shot at them, Ace held his pen up, transformed into a shield. He huddled Jule close, arm around her waist. Jule squeezed her eyes shut as the sound of fire came close, and the heat radiated from the iron shield.
The dragon roared once more, but no fire came again. Jule took a peek from the side, hopeful the thing would stop. The dragon roared as fire enveloped it's body. Jule looked at Ace questionably, she thought they were the ones who were being shot with fire. Ace quickly stood up, and pulled her arm before he started running.
Though Jule was curious, she understood the importance of running. She looked back, and dragon was almost out with the fire. But she could the huge black marks all its body, they hurt it. Jule shook her head, she couldn't feel sympathy. She had to survive.
Looking back at Ace, she asked, "What now?"
"Isn't it obvious? We run!"

He was getting impatient, awaiting for the arrival of his new wife was pure agony. Zena had still yet to provide him any news as to where the young ones were, or if anyone with importance had deceased. Yet he sat there on his high chair at the head of the dining table, with the puny Goblin by his side.
He was irritated just by the sight of the puny thing, it did not help the situation. Goblin was shaking in fear, waiting for his next order. He sighed, and decided to think of his and Zena's plans. Their goal was to find the Ancient Troll, in order to provide th access to rule the world with Roia deceased.
The only problem was, the Ancient Troll hasn't been seen for centuries and lived far away no being can see it. He hated the sayings for it was incompetent to him. If only they could get to it without complication, then he'd be greatly satisfied.
"Overlord."
He whipped his body around, and gazed behind his chair. There wasn't a eye soul there, and he knew it was Zena's who had stated his name. When he looked back, he jumped at the sitting in the another high chair opposite sides from him. She smiled, crossing her fingers over the table.
He, however glared. He did not appreciate being surprised by anyone, it was not ideal for him. "Never shock me Zena, it will not end well."
She did not seem threatened, her eyes were shiner with determination. "Of course, Overlord. We have business to discuss."
He nodded. "Proceed."
"The young ones already had arrived at Neco, and entered the kingdom."
"You've snatched them?" He asked, his eyes widening.
"Not quite."
He glared. "What is the point of this news?"
"Roia had offered for them to rest for the night, and I took it upon myself to cast a spell over them."
"What kind?"
"All I shall say is, they will come to us."
He slowly smiled, laughing with triumph. "Good work, Zena.
