Enola found it funny that her parents met at a ball.

Her mother? At a ball? Falling in love?

And her father... he sounded so charming!

Enola was so delighted with these things about her parents that she never knew.

But one thing kept bugging her...

"I know what you're up to, Enola, I just want to warn you, you're going to find things about him you'll wish you never knew..."

What did she mean by that? She left before she could inquire.

But she'll ignore it for now.

Besides she's got to get ready for the ball.

Oh yes! She hasn't told you yet!

Tewksbury had invited her to a ball, hosted by a certain 'Benjamin Bennett'

Now normally she would complain about going to a silly ball.

But she was delighted to go to this ball, now knowing it's where her parents met and fell in
love.

So here she was arm locked with Tewkesbury's, entering the ball.

"Are my eyes failing me or do you look happy to be here, Enola?" Tewkesbury asked with a smile, eyebrows raised.

She scoffed and swatted his arm but smiled sweetly at him.

"Seriously, Enola, recently you've been looking... down... but now you look so blissful. What's gotten into you?" Tewkesbury's eyes narrowed.

Enola looked up at him and pulled him by his arm to a near by table.

"Remember when we met, and I told you about how I never knew my father?" Enola asked.

Tewkesbury nodded slowly, putting his hand on hers gently.

"Well... I've never really known much about him, so I've taken a break of taking cases to learn more about my father."

"Oh! And I've found something!" Enola giggled.

"I met up with my mother, and she explained to me how they met! oh it was lovely! they met at a ball! that's where we are right now!" Enola exclaimed excitingly.

Tewkesbury laughed. "woah, woah, calm down, Enola." He cupped her cheeks.

"i can't wait to learn more about him! Do you think he loved me? more then sherlock?! mycroft?! was i the favorite?! was i—"

Tewkesbury clamped his hand over her mouth.

"take a breath, enola." tewkesbury laughed as enola pried his hands off her mouth.

and about 2 hours into the ball...

enola had lost tewkesbury

and she was drunk as hell

enola stumbled her way in the ballroom clumsily when she accidentally bumped into someone.

the person let out a yelp and turned around.

"excuse you!" the girl exclaimed.

but her face softened as she noticed how the girl that bumped into her could barely stand.

"oh my goodness, are you alright?" she asked softly.

enola smiled and nearly fell.

"me? i'm amazing!" she giggled.
