Tewkesbury had left Sherlock's.But Enola still hadn't left.
She wanted to ask him a couple questions.
"sherlock..?" she asked quietly.
"yes?" he raised his head at her as he stared at her from across the couch.
"what was father like?" she asked looking down.
sherlock's eyebrows flew up at the sudden question he seemed to be taken aback.
"was he good to mother?" she asked, now looking back up with pleading eyes.
sherlock thought about his old
childhood memories.no, enola. no he wasn't
"he was a good man." he answered in a lie.
enola scowled. "that's not what i asked."
sherlock opened his mouth to speak
but enola had beat him to it."was. he. good. to. mother" she asked firmly.
sherlock looked down.
"no."
enola was expecting it, trust me she was.
but did it soften the blow?
no.
enola shook her head slowly, feeling nothing but disappointment, rage, and confusion towards her father.
"he betrayed mother... a second time?" she asked slowly.
"more than once, mycroft walked in on him with many women, as have i." he muttered, not being able to look at her.
enola closed her eyes tightly.
this wasn't how it was supposed to go.
"father... he did love her, i remember vividly a time where there was love, but it stopped around the time i turned seven." sherlock said.
"was he abusive?" enola asked carefully.
"at times, yes." sherlock answered truthfully.
enola swallowed as tears welled up in her eyes and suddenly threw herself up from the couch and walked hastily towards the door.
sherlock stood up quickly. "enola..."
enola slammed the door shut.
sherlock quickly walked towards the door to open it again.
"enola!" she was already gone.
sherlock sighed and walked back into the room.
he sat down on the couch and covered his face with a groan.
god, he remembers all of what went down in that household.
