Good news! I'll be doing ANOTHER update this week on Sunday, August 18 in honor of Percy's birthday 🥳 So I'll see you guys soon!

Also, I LOVED your reactions to the previous chapter 😂 Act 1 is just meant to establish the romance, so the yanderes aren't that bad rn, but they become irredeemable once we hit act 3 and act 4, so good luck guys!

THIS COULD'VE BEEN AN EMAIL... Poseidon thought for the hundredth time as Odin droned on and on about Mimir's murder.

It was taking all his willpower not to ruin his emotionless expression and roll his eyes in exasperation. Sure Mimir was a valuable tool for Odin but did they really have to get dragged into this whole mess? If Proteus had been murdered, he would've just dealt with the situation alone, not drag almost every important deity from each Pantheon to help out. Was this really necessary? For a talking head of all things? Surely he couldn't have been that special.

And Hades wasn't here either, he remembered with an annoyed inward groan. His older brother was always good at smoothly cutting meetings short, if he were here now, this meeting probably would've ended in a satisfying conclusion an hour ago.

I wonder what my daughter is doing? All of Poseidon's thoughts immediately went to Percy. It was rare for her to ask to stay home during times where he was needed out, so he was immensely pleased with her decision to remain at the palace.

Just then, his phone buzzed.

Oh good, he thought idly, taking it out. A distraction.

"I must take this," he said calmly, rising from his throne. He coldly ignored Zeus' wrinkled pout—a piss poor attempt at a puppy-dog look to help him get out of the meeting. He really ought to stop. There was nothing cute about that saggy, elderly face of his and there was no way in hell he would ever cave in to help his stupid little brother in anything.

He stepped out of the room and answered the call, "Proteus." He acknowledged. "What is it."

"My lord, did Lord Hades ever inform you that he would be visiting the palace today?" Proteus went straight to the point.

"...No, he has not." Poseidon answered, eyes narrowing in suspicion. He did not like where this was going. "My brother is supposed to be here at a meeting, but he's absent. He visited the palace? Is he still there? Where is my daughter?"

He could hear his servant gulp on the other end of the phone. "My lord, I sensed Lord Hades' arrival, but after a minute, he left. The princess' aura vanished alongside him. I assumed he took her to Helheim for an unscheduled visit I wasn't aware of and called you to inform you just in case."

"..."

My daughter.

Hades has my daughter.
