I just opened my front door after getting home from a long day at school. I walk into the the kitchen and see my mom sitting at the table doing paperwork.
She's been having a lot of paperwork lately and I don't want to bother by asking what it's about.
"Hi Mom. How was your day?" I ask while getting a glass of water and a banana. She doesn't reply like usual. She's always just ignores me and I've gotten used to it over the past year.
I don't think I've held a normal conversation with my mom since I was 15, but I don't mind. She was never nice anyway.
"I like dad more anyway," I mumbled under my breath.
I go up the stairs and into my room I throw my backpack and turn to be faced by the Ashton Irwin himself, fast asleep in my bed. I lay next to him and play on my phone. It wasn't long until I heard someone mumbled, "Can I have your banana?"
I looked and see Ashton squinting at me and holding my banana. I sigh and nod my head. He sits up and starts eating the banana. He then asks, "How was your day today?"
I reply with my usual answer, "Same as always. Long and boring. How was your day?" "Just another day. I went to work and then came here and waited for you," He replied.
I open my mouth to speak, but then get interrupted when Ash exclaims,"Oh! I also went to that new record shop and bought you something!" He gets up and grabs something off the top of my dresser. He throws it at me and grins.
I look and see it's the Green Day album. I broke mine a few months ago and have been complaining to Ash about how it was my favorite album but it was broken. "Thank you so much Ash! I wanted this so badly!" I jump up and hug him so tightly. I'm really glad he's my best friend.
He giggles then sits on my bed and I do the same. I'm smiling like an idiot when Ash then says,"Speaking of music. You know how that Michael guy asked me to be in his band because they needed a drummer?" I nodded my head.
"Well guess what?! The first band practice is tomorrow! I'm so excited to meet everyone!"
I was surprised. I didn't think Ash would actually pull through with this whole band idea. At the same time I was excited and happy for him. He loves music so this will be great. I give him a huge hug and say,"I'm so happy for you! This will be so exciting!"
He then says,"All the guys names are Michael, Luke, and uh, Calum! This is great I've always wanted to be in a band!"
It was true. He always talked about how cool it would be to be in a band. I'm actually really excited and I'm not even the one the joined the band.
"Since you just joined a band I think this calls for celebration. Ice cream dance party?," I ask. He nods his head quickly and we head off to the store for ice cream.

"I can't believe we both ate a whole a ice cream," Ash says over the blaring music we were just dancing to in my bedroom.
"You better believe it because it happened," I chuckled. "I don't think I can walk home after this," Ashton says as he giggles.
"Good thing that you have a great best friend that loves sleepovers!," I say as I laugh and go grab me and ash pajamas. Ashton is over here so much that he has a second wardrobe in my room. I throw a pair of his sweats at him and leave the room to go changed in the bathroom.
I come back, turn the music off, and get in bed next to an already sleeping Ashton. I giggle and say goodnight I fall into a deep sleep.
