Sarah's pov. Devontays fiance

We where in the car trying to get hold of the little girl we where trying to help but there was no answer but I kept trying.
One thing I carnt stand is children getting hurt and its critical we get there soon.
I tried again and again and nearly lost hope when finally it answered all I could here was heavy breathing but it was still something.
"Is this luna"I asked
"Hm"she hummed sounding in pain,I felt awful for her she was only a child.
"We will be there soon ok"I said to her
"It's ok you don't have to come"she said sounding breathy.
Everyone in the car was watching me and listening as it was on speaker.
"No it's ok we're gonna help you"I said reasuing her it was fine when deep down I knew it was anything but.
"I'm fine I promise ....I don't need help...let me die please"she pleaded sounding like she was crying.
I felt my heart break at her words no person especially not a child should be saying that.
Everyone in the car looked between sad and shocker at what they heard.
"No don't say that were going to help you and you will be happy I promise"I measured her
"There's no point I'm just a burden anyway so you may aswell let me die now befor I make anyone else life bad"she mumbled sounding tired.
"Your not a burden to anyone where fifteen minutes away just hold on a little longer for us"devontay said into the phone.
"I don't think I can I hurts really bad"she breathed
"You can your strong and by far very brave for what you did today fighting all those people"Nora devontays mother said.
"Tell me why did you come to the house today and fight along side us"Sebastian noras husband asked
"I didn't know if your family got my notes and if not then an extra body could help so I snuck out"she explained
"But you got hurt because of it"I said
"But they didn't"she said and I could almost hear the smile in her voice.
"They may not have but you need to start taking care of yourself better"Nora said
"Why would you do that to yourself"devontay asked
"Can I ask a question"she asked
"Sure"I said glad that she's still talking even if her breath is labored
"If there was two people in a room one you knew and one a complete stranger there's one knife one must be killed or they both die who are u picking to die" her question took me back I wasn't expecting that
"I'd try to save them both"devontay replied
"Then all three of you will die I'll make it easier one has a family and friends and people to care for them the other live alone and has no friends or family that would know they where missing"she continues
"The first one"I said It was clear what did the other one have to live for."the second person has nobody left to live for"I said
"Exactly that's why I would do it to myself ,nobody loves me,everyone would be happier and safer if. I was gone so that's why I did it you guys all care for eachother meaning you have something to loose I don't"she said loosing her breath on the last words
What she said had me thinking she was wright about some things but terably wrong about others.
The next thing we hear is the phone landing on the ground and then devontays phone ringing.
"Where are you guys she passed out"lilly asked over the phone you could hear the love in her voice for Luna.
"Two minutes and where there"devontay says speeding up.
We need to get there quick it's a miracle she's lasted this long if it was dirstly in the heart she would have been gone by now so I'm grateful that it wasn't.
I carnt wait to get to know her she seems like such a loving give the tipe of one that gives without expecting anything back.
We soon arrived all eight of us getting out there was me,devontay,Nora, Sebastian,cora Leo's wife,Leo,seb and Theo Leos sons.
We raced inside to see guards everywhere and in the corner a bloody little girl collapsed looking lifeless to the eye.
Theo rushed over to grab her carefully and pull her into his lap to check for a pulse we knew when he looked at us we had come too late.
