Gabriel bounced in his seat, excited to get to school. This was new for him, he normally hated school, but Dean had promised that Sam would be here today. So he was excited. He had been devastated when Sam had disappeared during the last week of school the year before. He had notnseen or heard from him all summer. Gabriel had been really worried for a while, but eventually when he had been able to talk to Dean,  he found out that Sam had gone to visit his grandmother.  So Gabriel spent the summer just hanging out with his brothers. Castiel spent half his time over with Dean, so that left Gabriel spending a lot of time with his eldest brother Lucifer, or with his dad, Chuck. Most of the time he enjoyed himself. His family was not bad company, but something about Lucifer had started giving him the creeps. He had started drinking a lot over the past year, and it was like he had become a whole new person.

Gabriel was pulled put of his thoughts when the bus pulled up to the school,  opening the door for everyone to get off. Gabriel went to move, only stopping when he realized his seat mate was still sitting down.

"Cas you have to move to get into school. "

Gabriel laughed and nudged him with his leg, making Cas jerk back to reality.

"Sorry, I was just thinking."

"About what?"

Cas shook his head, his lips pressing into a hard line. He stood up and began to exit the bus, hearing his brother follow behind him. Gabriel realized Cas was not going to answer and decided not to bug him about it, he had other things to do. He waved and started to walk away when he felt his brothers hand on his arm.

"Gabriel, go easy on Sam today. Give him some space. He may not want to be ambushed on his first day back. "

Gabriel gave him a confused look, wanting to ask what hebwas talking about, but Cas had already let him go and was heading to get his schedule.  Gabriel sighed and walked off towards the gym where the sophomores would be waiting for theirs.

Gabriel read over his schedule,  being glad he didn't have any hard classes first thing in the morning. He glanced down at his locker number again, 204, making his way down the hall to put his things away. He hadn't seen Sam in the gym to get his schedule. He was starting to think Dean had lied to him about Sam coming back today.

Sam walked out of the office. He had finished speaking to the principal and giving them the papers for his sedatives.  He looked over the schedule they had given him.

He mentally groaned at his first class. Who made people do math first thing in the morning. It was cruel.  He was making his way to his locker, 205, he reminded himself. So far he had been able to avoid people, but as he made his way through the halls, he was having a hard time getting through the groups of students. He kept his head down, trying to avoid catching anyone's attention as he walked. He didn't realize someone was coming towards him until they crashed into each other, causing Sam to drop his bag. Luckily it was closed so nothing spilled out.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going."

"It's ok Sam."

Sams head jerked up, his eyes locking with castiels. He wanted to dissappear,  remembering what had happened last night. Cas watched him, seeing the fear on the boys face. When he spoke again, it was quiet enough that only Sam could hear.
