Yoriichi stood in front of you as you began drawing in a notebook, occasionally looking up at him to take a good look. Your drawing of his body was incredibly detailed, from every muscle tissue to the organs.

You turned the page and began drawing an empty face with a'mark' on it. You signaled for your brother to come near as you began writing things down.

"To gain a mark, one must survive life-threatening conditions. High internal body temperature and an extremely fast heart rate." Yoriichi read it out as he sat beside you. He watched you quietly write and draw under the candle. Slowly but surely, you filled the notebook with your theories.

Your only desire is that the future cast have an ending with fewer losses, so your first problem is the fact that the slayer mark shortens one's lifespan. The only reason you and Kokushibo survived past the age of 25 was due to your demonic physiology, while Yoriichi's body was born with it, meaning he was essentially the perfect vessel. So you decided to record the differences in his body compared to a regular human in hopes of finding a way to extend one's life.

"Yori, thank you for complying with all the tests the physicians had done." You thanked him. Seeing this, he just patted your head as if you were still a child.

"You don't have to thank me. Y/N, do you want to go on a journey with me?" He asked.

You were initially surprised by this request, though you were initially confused about how you'd follow, but before you could make that complaint, Yoriichi had already begun speaking.

"Don't worry about the sun; I have a plan."

"What is this?" You asked, staring at your older brother, who had come to your shrine carrying a wooden box with straps.

"Before you wish, you could join me on my travels, so we are going to travel together," he replied as he enthusiastically opened the box, which had cushions inside.

"I get that. I remember you wanting us to go on a trip...." You pondered before going on to the real question. "But what's with the box?"

Yoriichi looked at you confused, surprised that you weren't getting it. You did get it, but I just wanted to confirm the absurdity.

"It's for you to get inside of. So we can travel through the day. You get inside, and I carry you." He explained. This was a smart suggestion, and it is similar to what Tanjiro did with Nezuko; however, you couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

"I'm supposed to enter that?"

"Mmmhhmm" Yoriichi agreed with a nod. "I've seen demons shrink themselves. I'm sure you can do the same."

Seeing how eager he was for this plan, you ended up deferring and shrinking down, despite this being your first time ever using this ability; it was easy to do.

"Can't I just wear layers and like a nice hat with a veil and gloves?" You suggested it, but it was immediately shot down with Yoriichi's worries about you being slightly exposed to the sun and burning away.

"Fine, I guess," you said as you felt your body shrink. The height distance between you and Yoriich grew larger until it stopped. Your clothing had become baggy, and when you looked up, you saw your brother completely tower over you.

"Ok, let me try to go." Without warning, Yoriichi picked you up, pulled you into a tight hug, and began spinning you around. "What are you doing!?" You screamed at the sudden movement. You didn't particularly mind, but some warning would have done wonders.

"I'm sorry, but I had to! You're a kid again!" He giggled happily as he gave you one last hug before putting you down near the box.

"Before we go on this journey, where exactly are we going?" You asked as you slowly climbed into the box.

"Don't worry, you'll see."

The journey you went on was oddly quick, mainly due to Yoriichi's near-infinite stamina. However, you must admit that this was not nearly as comfortable as one would expect. Actually, you never expected it to be comfortable, as when Yoriichi encountered a demon at any point, you felt like you were tumbling down a hill.

You felt Yoriichi set your box down and open the door. You stepped out to see you were in a familiar room; upon stepping out and looking around, you realized it was your old room. It was exactly as you left it when you moved out after your marriage.

"My room... father never changed it." stated in bewilderment

"I couldn't bring myself to remove anything." A voice called out to you from behind. You turned around to see your father, though he was clearly older. His wrinkles had become more prominent, and his hair had grayed significantly. However, he held a gentle smile as he tried to walk closer to you, though slowly, which led you to notice the cane in his hand.

"Father... I missed-"

"Y/N," he said, hugging you as tight as he could. "My beautiful daughter! I'm happy you are alive. A father shouldn't pass after his child."

You instantly looked at your father after hearing those words.

"Passing? No, no, father! Yoriichi, you said he was healthy." You instantly began examining him in a transparent world, but you didn't see anything that was harming his body.

"Y/N father is healthy; don't worry. Father, you shouldn't worry about her like that." Yoriichi scolded him. Your father just chuckled at this before turning back to you.

"It's nice to see you still care about me. I'm not croaking yet." He joked, but you could tell that the past decade or so wasn't kind to him. His hair being completely gray so early must have been due to stress and grief. "Y/N... I'm well aware of what you've become, but I hope that you know that I'll never reject you."

He patted your head gently, and the brush of his warm hands against your cold skin made you remember your childhood. Father and you weren't always on the same page; in fact, you both argued often, yet he has become more understanding since Akeno's death.

The house was in order; nothing had changed; you and your siblings' childhood bedrooms (with the exception of Yoriichi getting a proper room); and especially Akeno's prayer room.

You gazed down at your old father and simply smiled. It was smaller than how it started when you came into this world, but you have a family that sincerely cares for you...

And that made you sad.
