Suyako and Sumire had left for bed, while Sumiyoshi was packing things away. You were just sitting, to be honest. You were a guest.
You enjoyed these peaceful days, not living with people who felt scared to be around you. You wish this peace could last just a little longer.
However, fate had other plans.
Like something had crashed on you, you felt an awful sense of danger and dread. And it was targeting you.
"I'm sorry! I have to go!" You said it in a rush, grabbing your belongings. You didn't know what this ominous feeling was; however, it hit you like the truck that ended your first life.
"Where are you going?! What's the rush?" Sumiyoshi asked, trying to chase you down, but you turned around and stopped him.
"Sumiyoshi, don't look for me. Whatever you do after I leave, be as quiet as possible, don't make a sound, and sleep. Act as normal as you can! Ok?" You ordered in a whispered tone, your eyes reflected in his, and you could see the panic in them.
Quietly, he nodded. Sumiyoshi pulled you into a hug.
"Be safe."
"I will. Do what I said," you say as you whisper goodbyes to Suyako and Sumire. You open the door, looking back briefly to see Sumiyoshi's face. You wave your hand, ushering him to go back to bed, and as soon as he does, you silently close the door.
Like a lightning bolt, you swiftly ran away, leaping through the night sky under the watchful gaze of the moon.
'Gotta run! Gotta run! Gotta run!' You mentally repeated as you sprinted further and further away from the mountain and town where the Kamado family resided.
The untainted blood in your main brain screamed in fear. It screamed and commanded that you should run. Disperse from this place and make yourself scarce. No matter how it is phrased, you could not stay here.
This went on while the blood in the rest of your body told you to submit. It attempted to ease your muscles, which had the inverse effect of making you more vigilant.
'This feeling is... it does not matter! Just get out of here' you shouted internally. Your legs strengthened even more, so much so that you left cracks in the ground.
Passing trees, rocks, and rivers alike that held the soft glow of the moonlight, yet you could not enjoy it.
Whatever made you vigilant, whatever gave you the desire to genuflect, was coming near.
You noticed a shadow flash over; it grew larger, but before you could react,
CRASH
You felt a mass crush you into the dirt.
"Holy!" You screamed as you felt someone standing on your back. Instinctively, you stood up, throwing your assailant off you. Pivoting your foot and turning, you came face-to-face with a face you wished to see so much.
"Michi..." you choked out. The face you saw was familiar, yet the six crimson eyes like a spider unsettled you. You remembered what he looked like in the manga and anime. Yet seeing it in real life was different.
"Bow." A voice from behind called.
Like you were possessed, you knelt down instantly. The pressure you felt rose as your main brain panicked, yet your second one chanted praises.
"You survived. Interesting." A low voice called out. You heard slow steps walk around to your front. "You may look up."
You slowly raised your head from your bow, and upon locking eyes with the owner of the voice, sweat dripped down your back.
You see the man who ruined everything.
The man who killed hundreds.
The man who turned you into this being.
The man for whom you hold unfathomable hatred.
"Lord Muzan," you said softly as you called out in unwanted reverence. His wretched, blood-coloured eyes scanned you; you felt a connection to him. Yet this connection wasn't anything like friendship or love.
But subservience.
"You have really grown well. I had intended to kill you when I injected that large amount of blood into you," he mentioned casually, as if he were talking about the weather. You kept your face straight and calm, trying not to react to this. However, you saw a shift in the demon's face behind Muzan. Your brother.
"Ah, this man behind me. Kokushibo! Come here! Don't you have anything to say to your little sister?" Muzan ordered.
The man slowly walked to you, his six eyes watching you.
"You have...changed."
A layer of awkward silence contaminated the air between you two.
'Is that it? Is that all you say to your sister? What the hell!' You cursed in your head, and you didn't even bother to hide your expression.
Before any conversation between you two could bloom, Muzan came between.
"You. What is your blood demon art?"
"My blood demon art? I can see the possibilities," you explained, even repeating similar words in your second brain.
Muzan's gaze upon you boldened.
"Possibilities. You mean... the future."
"Yes, Lord Muzan. However, I can't see things with certainty. I just see likely scenarios." You emphasised. You weren't even lying. Your future sight wasn't getting a glimpse into the future, but the accurate estimations you make.
You can't predict with certainty something random like the sex of someone's child, but you can guess things like people's movements or the weather. With enough information,.
"You're not lying, are you? "Muzan asked, and his eyes grew sharper as he discerned the veracity of your claim. He became quiet.
"What if I asked you... to find the blue spider lily?"
His words resounded in your brains. Your main one shuddered in fear, while the tainted one was confused.
'I knew he'd ask that'
'Blue Spider Lily? '
'He can't be allowed to find it'
'That doesn't exist!'
Your minds thought separately.
"Lord Muzan, do you mean a red spider lily?"Your words followed the train of thought of your secondary mind, the confusion in your voice sounding genuine.
"If you are looking for this plant, then I can't help you. I do not know of this plant, so I cannot make any predictions."
"Tch!" He clicked his tongue. "Regardless, your abilities are useful."
Instantly after he said those words, searing pain gathered in your abdomen. You tried your best not to scream, with even your brother holding you still. You glanced down to see a grotesque, bloody flesh tentacle with a needle at the end puncture you.
The veins in your body bulged, and Muzan injected his blood into you. Your eyes were bloodshot, and your voice had gone so hoarse that you couldn't even scream.
"You... are going to be very useful. Making you an upper moon will be good," he pondered. Soon, he retracted the limb, leaving you to quickly regenerate the hole in your chest. However, the pain continued, practically leaving you incapacitated and forcing your brother to hold you in his arms.
Kokushibo held you close to his chest before turning to Muzan.
"If you are to make my sister an upper moon... I wish for her to be by my side." He asked as he stroked your fidgeting body in an attempt to soothe you.
"Are you asking to have her follow you around? You hardly have my permission for that." Muzan responded as he began to reach into your eyes.
Right before he could touch them with his nails, your brother spoke up.
"I mean, the number. I believe she is too valuable to be anything below rank one. You should save that for other demons."
"And why is that? And you are Upper Moon One. Do you intend to lower yourself?"Muzan questioned, his glare fixating on Kokushibo.
"No, I do not. In terms of strength, she is still below me but far exceeds other demons you have scouted." He explained as he looked down at your face. "I just believe she shouldn't take up a spot. We can... share the number one title."
Muzan stared down at you both, your faces becoming less stressed as the pain lessened. He kneeled down to your level and pried open your eyes with his lengthened, sharp nail.
"Fine"
His nails plunged into your face, his blood seeping in like dye for a tattoo, as he modified your pupils to read out the kanji for upper rank and one.
Once again, agonising pain flooded your senses as you felt as if you had become blind. Moments passed that you didn't listen to as you processed your pain while simultaneously making sure none of Muzan's blood tainted your brain, ignoring the feeling of being picked up and moved.
———
The pain in your face eventually subsided. You felt your head being rested against something soft as it was being stroked carefully, brushing any hair from your face. Slowly, you opened your eyes to see an all-too-familiar purple and black kimono.
