"Hello, Y/N," spoke the voice of someone you missed. Opening your eyes, you came to see the remnants of the face of someone dear to you.

"Michikatsu..." you whispered in a choked-up tone. You got up from his lap.

Seeing him as a demon hurts your heart. Your dear brother, whom you couldn't help but truly realise, left you, Yoriichi, and even his wife and child. Before you knew it, streams of tears flowed down your face.

Seeing this reaction, Kokushibo came closer and held you in his arms, your head on his shoulder facing the entrance of the cave, which showed that it was nighttime.

"Hey, Michi," you uttered in a soft tone, gripping onto his collar and trembling.

"Yes Y/N?"

"I'm... I'm... fucking pissed," you said in a low tone as, by his collar, you threw him out of the cave into a tree with all your might.

Surprised by this, Kokushibo barely had enough time to steady himself as he landed before you launched your next attack.

You punched the cave wall, causing it to break. Picking up the debris like it was weightless, you quickly shot them at your demon brother with all your force.

Unsheathing his katana, he went to block as many as he could, with the ones reflected ricocheting off the blade and hitting the environment around him. Trees had entire holes formed that caused them to fall, and the rocks you hit shattered into pieces.

"Y/N, I don't want to fight you." Kokushibo tried to reason, yet your face said it all. Bloodied tears poured out of your ferocious eyes; your veins bulged and were visible as your hands trembled in fury.

"Too bad!" You spat out as you appeared to leap at him, your fists covered in blood due to gripping too hard. Kokushibo went to counter your strike, yet as your knuckle made contact with his blade, the blood on your hand began to glow.

"Starstruck." You quietly said. The blood illuminated and exploded in a bright red yet cold light as your attack was enhanced and emitted a small shockwave. It sent your brother flying through the forest into a clearing.

You chased after him, jumping high into the air before using 'Starstruck' on your feet. The bright red light of your blood could be seen in the sky; it illuminated your trail as the shockwave sent you crashing down to where Kokushibo was like a meteorite.

BOOM!

A large cloud of dirt, debris, and dust formed as you struck the earth, but you missed your intended target.

"Y/N... don't make me use force. I don't want to hurt you." Kokushibo stated as he brandished his sword, his six eyes watching you as you emerged out of the rubble.

"Hurt... me..." you said as you clawed out of the self-made crater. Hearing those words made your blood boil and bubble. Your nails and teeth grew sharper, and your eyes glowed a bright red.

"You have hurt me already! I'm in pain because of you! I went insane because of you!" You screamed as you clashed with your sibling.

Your wails were getting louder as your strikes became stronger, your nails clanging against Kokushibo's sword as you both quite literally tore the environment around you as collateral.

"You left! Left me! left Yori! Left your wife and children!" You cried as you fought recklessly; even after having an arm cut off by him, all you did was react by grabbing your flying appendage and throwing at your opponent before detonating the blood.

Kokushibo grew quiet at your anger as he sent several crescent moon blades towards you, which you dodged with a breath except one, which you grabbed from midair before sending it back with a kick.

Your fight lasted hours as the land got torn up. Entire slashes in the terrain had formed, and several dents were scattered around your battleground.

Yet you still persisted.

You are filled with determination.

After launching a flurry of kicks and punches, Kokushibo saw an opportunity. Swiftly, he bisected you with a slash and pinned your legless torso as it grew.

You would have paid attention to the pain if your limbs had slowly generated it. Lacking much to do, you slowly began to cool as your legs regenerated. Underneath the moonlit sky, did you both stare, gazing at each other?

"...get off of me. I won't attack." Your words seemed lifeless as you stared at him, anger no longer filling your eyes but sadness.

Kokushibo looked at you for a few seconds before slowly releasing you. He backed up four paces before kneeling. You slowly sat up and faced him.

"Y/N I-"

"Michi... Kokushibo. I am... very angry with you...I'm very conflicted."

"I... I didn't particularly have a proper choice when becoming a demon." Kokushibo tried to explain.

"Please elaborate. What happened that day after we argued and I left?" You pushed for him to understand.

"After you left the training ground, I more or less ran. To clear my head and kill demons to train myself. I went quite far, and I finally met that man." He told his story as he looked you dead in the eye.

"I couldn't beat him, but during our fight, he stopped and gave me an opportunity."

"And it was becoming a demon." You finished his sentence.

"Yes. By becoming a demon, I could keep training. I could get stronger—stronger than Yoriichi. I wouldn't succumb to the mark and die." His words had a sense of desperation, despite his cold expression.
"I would become essentially immortal and eventually have more time to achieve my goal."

You could understand him. To him, Yoriichi was a living, breathing reflection of what he wanted to be. Even for yourself, you became aware that you'd always be inferior to Yoriichi in terms of power and skill. Everyone was. And it would be worse for Kokushibo, as he was his twin.

"Kokushibo... I understand your plight. However, I still don't forgive you. What you did was selfish, insensitive, and downright cruel. You still chose to become a demon." You stated this as you gripped your fist tight enough to draw blood.

"You left so much behind, and now you can't go back. Neither of us can. At least you left something." You choked out as you cast your eyes to the floor.

"What do you mean?" Confused by this, Kokushibo inquired further.

"I lost my husband. To myself when I became a demon. I can't go back. I've probably been presumed dead, so seeing Father isn't an option, nor can I apologize to my in-laws." You eventually let out. Tears didn't flow from your face, but your melancholic expression conveyed your feelings.

Kokushibo visibly shook at your words; his eyes widened slightly. Unsure of what to do, he just crawled closer to you. Soon, you felt yourself in his embrace.

Inwardly, your hatred hadn't subsided and probably wouldn't for a long time, but you still accepted the hug. He buried your face in his chest as he wrapped his arms around your waist.

"I'm so sorry." He apologized as he rested his chin on your head. The warmth of his skin reminded you of your younger days. Eventually, two silver streaks ran down your cheeks.

Placing one arm under your knees and the other at your back, your brother picked you up princess-style as he brought you back to a cave as the light began to creep in.

Soon you both sat in the cave until night fell. Your conversations weren't a lot, and you mainly stayed silent in his presence. As soon as the sun went down, you stood up and walked to Kokushibo.

"Brother, what was the reason you pleaded with Muzan for making us share the upper moon one title?" You asked, and curiosity ate you up inside. To even yourself, this made no logical sense.

"Because... you're my little sister." That was all he said.
You remembered that the future upper moon six shared titles due to their close bond and each other's refusal to carry on without the other.

Kokushibo's face once changed, revealing an incredibly sad expression. One filled with regret.

"Moreover, I don't like the idea of Muzan being near you when I'm not there. I chose this life, but you didn't, and I couldn't stop that." He further elaborated.

Upon hearing his explanation, you stood there in silence. Soon you turned around at the entrance and began to walk away.

Right as you reached the exit, you halted.

"What you have done, Kokushibo, has truly angered me. No, that's wrong; saddened me is more accurate." You stated that you were letting your feelings be known.

"However, I'm more angry at myself and him. So... let's try and get along, Michi." And like a wisp, you disappeared and left.

Your words echoed through Kokushibo's ears as you watched the space where you had been.

[A/N: Look at me, another chapter! I may not upload anything for a month cause of exams that will decide my future. How fun. Also apparently my temporary titles for each chapter is hilarious according to my friends so I may start adding what they were for fun.]
