An enormous forest opened up behind four figures, one taller than the other with rifles ready on their shoulders and hands full of swords and small knives.

The woods were the classic place used by the royal family to display hunting skills.

The forest had been owned by the royal family for generations and when the king announced that he wanted to hold a competition that very day, his sons and daughters would have to go into the forest and catch one of the biggest catches they had ever seen, who had he taken the largest of all he would have had the honor of dedicating the hunt to one of the guests or to the sovereigns themselves to thank them.

Minji was one of the four figures: one of the tallest with proud shoulders and her body swollen with pride and victory, she landed with her gaze the scent of a prey bigger than her own body.

Minji had always been a marvel at hunting, she had trained with her father before Haerin had the dexterity to hold a rifle in her hand.

The gunpowder was strange at times and made some mistakes plus the smell was difficult for a novice to bear.

Haerin was the second self-confident figure who stood next to Minji almost as if she wanted to enhance herself and challenge her older sister even though she already knew the end of the battle.

She had always been stronger than her and this bothered her a bit, they were both girls but Minji seemed like a real boy sometimes that she believed it when people told her that she had a brother.

She wanted to break this ranking ladder that his father started and give Minji the bitter defeat for the first time right before Hanni's eyes.  Hanni was sitting on a smaller throne near the two sovereigns with the look of a girl who regretted being there.

Maybe the wound still hurt, but she wanted to watch Minji hunt.  Haerin just wanted to get that thought out of her head and believe that Hanni was there for her.

The third figure was the older cousin, Yeonjun.  He too was a proud and self-satisfield pardoner but he always came second or third and Haerin had been good at hunting.

Yeonjun was already betrothed to a woman belonging to a very rich duke's family, her family home valued a lot of money but the woman's beauty was lacking that Yeonjun sometimes tried to get her to not be too close to her.

He often went out with his friends and stayed training with his swordsman Kai until late.  The fourth figure was another cousin of the royal family, Chaewon.  The girl was already married to a man of high nobility.

Thanks to her royal figure, Chaewon remained in the palace of the Nobles together with her husband but things were not going very well as love was absent.

The four figures looked like enemies from afar but they all belonged to the same family.  The king looked at them as easy prey to shoot, for him this thing had always been a game.  Sometimes he announced that he was preparing it to welcome the arrival of the guests or to see the four kill each other, taking the question almost seriously, of life or death.

“Try not to motivate them more than they are,” said the queen, Jennie, placing a hand on the man's arm as if giving him a look of anger if she would do otherwise.

The king rose from the throne making everyone turn their faces towards him.  He raised his hands clapping at the four and pointing at them, opening his arms as if he were blessing the four in death.

"Bring honor and pride to your family by showing our beloved guests what the royal family of the kingdom of Kot are made of. The blood in your veins honors us, as you must give satisfaction to our beloved guests by bearing the name of our family showing blood and power as over the centuries" the man shouted with seriousness and depth and then sat down and received a disapproval from his wife having a negative shock to the head from her, continuing to look at him with hatred and anger.
