The room was decorated with guards lined up close to each other while a couple of councilors moved from one side to the other in a hurry to bring an answer to the two sovereigns.
People were agitated by the arrival of the princess and no one could predict the next steps for the marital union of the two future heirs.
"Minji, you're finally back" her mother said, attentive to her words for fear that she might make a mistake in calling her with a female pronoun.
Her mother had always been careful and cautious with her words but after days of absence of her eldest daughter, she too could make a mistake of forgetfulness.
"It took you so long, did you have any problems?" asked her father with his head raised as if he wanted to prove that he was superior in any way even with his look.
Minji shook her head in denial and pulled up after him to bow to the two sovrains. Although she was their eldest daughter, they were sovrains and she had to bow to them like everyone else.
"How was the trip?" she asked her mother with a smile on her lips and getting up from the throne to meet Minji who indifferently shrugged her shoulders.
"Come on, tell me. Is she as beautiful as they say the princess is?" her mother asked again as soon as she released herself from her embrace.
Minji shrugged her shoulders again: she couldn't possibly say that she had fallen madly in love with that girl even though they had only seen each other a few times.
How could she tell her that her presence filled her heart and her smile made her body tingle with happiness?
"I hope you had a good time with her," her mother said, taking steps back to give her some space.
Her father was still on the throne with one hand under his chin and looking rather tired.
"Could I make a request?" Minji asked, placing her gaze on the ground.
Her mother raised an eyebrow in confusion "What's wrong Minji? You can ask everything" urged her mother pressing her hand on her daughter's rough and strong shoulder "I would like to move the princess's residence to the palace before this one. The Nobles' palace is more sure at the moment, the population protests and wants the princess out of the kingdom as she lacks the royal blood of the Kot" said Minji placing her knees on the ground again and bowing to the two sovereigns.
Her father looked at her and then sighed, motioning for his wife to decide for him.
"For tonight she will stay here, tomorrow she will go to the Nobles' palace with you. You will have to stay with her Minji, that girl's life is your responsibility" her mother replied rationally, giving her daughter a hand to get up but she did not accept it.
She sighed, understanding her mother's response and asking to go to the princess's room again to warn her of this change.
Her mother owed him the freedom to free her, while her father watched her from afar as if he already knew what was about to happen to her daughter.
Minji entered the regal corridors again with his hands fixed on her hair, untying her ponytail and angrily moving her hair.
One thing worried her: it was Hanni. The girl was too naive to understand the danger present in her castle. The kingdom of Kot had always been a violent kingdom tormented by vengeful souls.
It was well known around the nomination received from one of the royal men of the kingdom of the Lapin Islands regarding the kingdom of Kot and its women, and they didn't like it at all, in fact they found the comments rather disgusting.
