Sixteen year old Ellie was racing down the stairs of Auradon Prep.
She walked past a few other students but didn't pay them any mind. Because her mind was elsewhere. In just 15 minutes, four vk's would arrive at the front steps of Auradon prep. And Ellie was not excatcly near the courtyard yet.
Maybe she forgot about it, or she just procrastinated, which is way more plausible.
She glanced at the watch on her wrist and cursed. She still had to walk through most of the school because her dorm was at the other end of the castle.
So she walked faster but did not dare to run. Her mother taught her better, but at that moment, she considered to just do it. Better be on time and look stupid running than being late and look stupid that way.Another look at her watch told her that she had ten minutes left until they would arrive.
Walking past the students, she saw some familiar faces. Under them were her cousin Alia and her best friend Jane."Ellie, why are you in such a rush?" Alia asked, but Ellie couldn't stop to talk to them.
"The vk's are coming!" Ellie yelled over her shoulder. She didn't know why the two weren't at the front of the school yet, but she guessed that they simply didn't care much or too scared in Janes case.
Ellie felt bad for her best friend. While she herself wasn't too scared of these teenagers, Jane was almost terrified to meet them. Ellie just hoped that this would pass because Jane could not avoid them forever.
But she would help her friend through this.
Jane was, besides Ben and Alia, her only friend, and Ellie will forever be by Janes side.
As she raced through the whole school, she thought about the four new kids. They were the children of the most ruthless villains of all time, and Ellie hoped that they wouldn't be lost causes.
Ellie was actually proud of Ben for doing this program. Even though Ellie despised all the villains, she still thought that Ben made the right decision. Everyone deserves a chance, but not everyone uses it wisely. That's why she was a bit wary of these children. Not that she wasn't with everyone. But with these especially. They could be just like their parents.
Finally, Ellie saw the front doors of the school. She walked down the steps and crossed the room. She looked back at her watch and saw that she still had two minutes to spare.
So, she took a few seconds to regain her composure and to get a good breath. The young girl then stood up straight and smoothed out her light blue dress, which had gotten a little wrinkled by her speed walk.
With her head held high, she made her way through the courtyard and positioned herself beside Ben. Away from Audrey.
Said boy turned his head and looked her up and down. He put on a knowing smile."You got here just in time."
Ellie rolled her eyes but still smiled a little.
"I wouldn't miss it for anything." she said sarcastically. Their conversation was disrupted by the car that came into view. It parked right before them, and in the corner of her eye, Ellie saw how Audrey clung to Ben even more than before. Audrey put on the most sweet and fake smile Ellie has ever seen.
She sighed and concentrated on the limo again. The driver stepped out of the vehicle and opened the back door, allowing two girls to step out and two boys to fall to the ground.
Apparently, they fought over a blanket or something and didn't even notice that they were watched by almost the whole school.
Ellie couldn't suppress the smile that was forming on her lips, and she could only just stop herself from laughing at the sight. They looked hilarious.
"Guys, we have an audience." The purple haired girl whisper yelled at the boys on the ground, and it was obvious how embarrassing this was for her.
