"When are we heading back?"
"Tonight," I hummed. "I want to try and find this 'Mother Miranda' person, and checking that village is our best bet."
Persephone smirked. "Hoping to see Alcina again?"
"...Maybe."
"The sex was that good?"
I laughed and gently shoved her away from my body. "I'm not answering that."
"So it was," Persephone teased, leaning against me once more. "The concert was nice, so I'll join you again."
"Will you still join me in Autumn and Winter?"
"Probably," The goddess giggled. "This human convinced you to skinny dip with and fuck her in the same night. I want to see where this goes."
"You're somehow worse than Aphrodite."
"Speaking of, YOU DATED HER?!"
"...I never did explain that in detail," I muttered at her shocked face. "It was before Hephaestus was born."
"...Sometimes I forget how old you are."
I narrowed my eyes at the goddess and huffed. "Excuse you! Without me, your Mother would've never known how to teach you to use your powers!"
"Exactly. Old!"
"I'll leave you here."
"No, you won't," Persephone rolled her eyes and fixed her hair. "If we go now, maybe you can spend some time with your human."
"She's not my human."
"Could be~! Now, tell me about how you and Aphrodite started out!"
Year: ??? BCE
"You're [Y/N], right?" An angelic voice asked, making me look up from the bush I was trimming to see a gorgeous woman.
"...Uhm, ye-yeah. That's me."
"I'm Aphrodite," The woman smiled, and my heart melted. "A pleasure to meet you!"
"The pleasure's all mine," I whispered, letting the wind carry my voice. "I would shake your hand, but mine are-"
"I don't mind getting my hands dirty," The woman laughed, taking my free hand and shaking it. "I'm the goddess of love and beauty."
"That explains a lot."
"Pardon?"
'I SAID THAT ALOUD?!' I cleared my throat and smiled. "I-I just meant that it explains why you're so nice! I've met Lady Freyja, a goddess of love as well, and she was also super nice! And doesn't mind getting her hands dirty either."
"Oh!" Aphrodite giggled, making my heart soar at the sound. "I was expecting something about my looks."
"Well, you are easy on the eyes. Unlike some beings."
"...May I help? You'll be at it all day if you keep doing this alone. Where's Demeter?"
"She...It's...She's recovering," I murmured with a frown. "Demeter hates her Father for what he did, but that doesn't mean she doesn't imagine what it would be like if he chose to be a Father instead of eating them."
"Oh, right...I believe Hestia's been thinking the same way."
"That poor girl," I sighed, shaking my head as I remembered how terrified Hestia had been — how she refused to leave her siblings's sides until they all had decent control over their powers. "It's her job to be there for family — to love her family. She doesn't hate her Father, but Hestia does wish that he never heard of the prophecy."
