02 Reminder

Today marked the day where i'd finally become an official member of the survey corps and meet the rest of my other comrades who'd fight right beside me against the titans and evil in this world. Captain Levi asked me to meet up with them in the main room, where they'd usually hold meetings. I have to admit, I was quite nervous because I wasn't good at forming connections and friendships with people, especially during my time in the scouts. Despite being very skilled with ODM gear and fighting in general, I always lacked good social skills and would envy those who did manage to somewhat have them.

Third Person

(Y/N) was in front of the door, contemplating whether or not it was the best moment for her to enter the room where she could hear faint sounds of people chattering with one another. As she reached out to the door handle, her fingers started trembling. "Fuck this, lets just go in and stop being a scared bitch," the (h/c) girl muttered. Finally, she pressed down on the door handle, which opened. She came to a halt just to be welcomed by Levi kicking a young boy who seemed roughly to be the same age as herself-a boy with amber eyes that screamed of determination and brunette hair. Besides him was another guy who also seemed to get kicked, unlike him, whose light-brownish hair was quite difficult to describe, and they both seemed like they were in severe pain.

Suddenly, Captain Levi's and many of the others attention shifted to the clueless (h/c) girl who was standing beside the door. "w-WAIT THERES A NEW PERSON WHO JOINED THE SURVEY CORPS" Sasha yelled whilst she was chewing on her last remaining potato piece. "Sasha, shut up!" Connie whispered to Sasha, giving her this death stare, which reminded the potato lover to not say anything while in the presence of Captain Levi.

"Tch. Shut up, you brats! (Y/N) is one of our newest additions to the survey corps."

(Y/N) POV

After Captain Levi introduced myself to the others, he quickly left as he told us that Erwin Smith wanted to talk to him. Then, deciding to sit down, i spotted an empty chair next to the brunette guy, who, I remembered, had been beaten up by my cousin. He was talking to two other people, one of whom was a black-haired girl who had on a red scarf, which appeared to mean a lot to her because she was wearing it in spite of the fact that the room we were in was getting pretty warm. The boy with blonde hair next to her had a book in his hand that appeared to be showing details of some blue type of thing, which I heard the boy refer to as the "ocean," which intrigued me and rapidly captivated my attention as I took little glances every second, hoping they didn't notice.

Until the brunette boy did, as he shifted away from his two other friends to face me. "Hey, I'm Eren Yeager. I could help but notice you staring at the book Armin was holding; it seemed like it gained your interest," he said while he had a genuine smile plastered on his face. He somehow made me feel comfortable, unlike some people I have interacted with in the past who would only communicate with me if their friends weren't around, typically leaving me to be the last option as always, which I became used to. Although deep down I always wished to have someone a friend, even a best friend, or just someone who understood me and would stand right by my side no matter what, people like that are quite hard to find in this world in a world where greed, betrayal, violence, and corruption are present if only that cycle could end.

Realizing I was too deep in my thoughts, I quickly apologized and introduced myself. "I'm (Y/N) (L/N) and sorry about that; i often get lost in my thoughts."" And yes, that book was quite interesting. i always seem to wonder what else is also out there in this world besides the titans. Just maybe there might be a place-a land of peace," i said with each word of mine with true ambition, which captured Erens attention and made me think he also had a dream, so i asked him. "Eren, what is your dream?" the young titan shifters pupils dilated as he opened his mouth "My dream is to kill all the titans in the world". I have to admit that those words sent chills down my spine, as if they were foreshadowing something that was soon to come.

After chatting with Eren, Mikasa and Armin, they introduced me to the others, whose names I found out were Connie, Sasha and Jean, aka the trio. I have to admit, they are incredibly funny. "Oi, (Y/N), you're really pretty," Jean said to me, which made me slightly blush since I'm not used to sudden compliments from guys, but just right before I was going to thank him, by responding to him, Eren beat me to it, "Horseface, stop acting all too full of yourself," as he rolled his eyes. "Eren, stop butting in again. I know you don't want me to beat your ass like last time," Jean responded in a harsh tone while he stood up and quickly grabbed Eren by his collar and punched him.

As i continued to watch this chaotic scene unfold of the boys fighting each other other, I got fed up of their continuous, repetitive bickering, so i stood up and went in-between them, kicked both of them, and watched as they tumbled and landed onto the concrete ground as i heard all of the others share a gasp out of shock of the turn of events. "Shit, that was painful," Jean muffled, holding his arm, trying to relieve the pain. "it felt as if it was on of captain Levis kicks-" Eren continued but stopped as he heard the sound of the door being kicked open just to reveal the small, petite figure of "CAPTAIN Levi." Everyone besides from (Y/N) internally shrieked and right next to him was Hange, who quickly ran up to me and hugged me with all of her as i struggled to inhale, desperate for oxygen.

"NO WAY LEVIS COUSIN IS IN THE SURVEY CORPS WITH ME, (Y/N) IVE MISSED YOU!!" Hange shouted, whose words ended up in the ears of many, which shocked them all. "Wait, Captain Levi has... a cousin?" one of them said.
