Today was the day where I'll be on my first mission with the survey corps. I have to admit I was pretty excited since I could finally put my skills to work. And show off these badass moves of mine to everyone.

When I got off from my bunk I shared with Mikasa I noticed how she already seemed to have gotten ready before me.

"Good morning Mikasa" I said in hopes for her to greet me back but for some odd reason she intentionally ignored me.

Back during my first couple days in the survey corps Mikasa was quite quiet and laid back and was nice to me until I stared hanging out more with her group and the others since they were quite welcoming. She started to have an attitude I slowly began to despise. Although I tried my best to tolerate it ; it became quite hard to withstand day by day.

"Mikasa it doesn't hurt to respond back.." I sighed making sure she heard the words that came out of my mouth.

Yet she unlocked the door and shut it without saying a single word back to me.
Since she left I decided to get ready and make sure all of my gear is intact making sure there's no faculty's and went ahead outside to meet up with the rest.

I saw many people gathering up to get their horses in preparation for this mission. I scanned across the area hoping to spot any familiar faces so I could approach someone. Yet I couldn't find any. Until I felt someone tap on my shoulder which shocked me for a second till I looked back to realize it's Jean-boy. Me and him have gotten quite close.

"No way I scared you" Jean squirmed as he let out a little chuckle.
"Shut up Jean stop getting too full of yourself" I retorted back casually rolling my eyes. But releasing a chuckle afterwards.

"Oi, (Y/N) you forgotten about your horse" Levi walked up towards me and Jean holding the leash of my horse named (H/N).
"Why am I so forgetful" I muttered to myself whilst face palming myself
"Tch. You're right brat" Levi replied back loudly as he slowly waddled off in the distance to get on his horse.

"EVERYONE GET PREPARED AND GET ON YOUR HORSE" a loud voice could be heard which made people hurry and get to their horses.

Just right before I was gonna sit down on the saddle which was attached to my horse Jean stopped me.
"(Y/N), you're so right about you being forgetful" iI was too confused trying to comprehend what he meant by that. Until I looked down to see him kneeling down whilst fixing the buckles for my odm gear which were sitting on my waist.

His slow movements made me feel flustered.
"Wait I sworn i checked over these many times" I exclaimed in embarrassment wishing I could go back time.
"Well it doesn't seem like it" Jean spoke as he looked up at me. I then quickly looked away to avoid eye contact with him out of embarrassment.

I then noticed right nearby me was Eren Jaeger who seemed to be watching this moment unfold between me and Jean. I couldn't help but wonder of the thoughts and how I'm being perceived by others in this very moment. I instantly tried to shrug that thought off from my mind.

I still felt daggers being fired on me coming from behind which were obviously from Eren but it seemed like it was particularly fired towards Jean for some reason it's probably due to their rivalry.

"Anyways I'm done" Jean said as he stood up towering over me.
How am I just realizing that this guy is so tall.
"(Y/n) are you alright"
Suddenly his words hit me back into reality and I quickly nodded and got up onto my horse and waved to Jean as I saw him get onto his horse.
