03 Change

After the recent events which took place around four weeks ago, it was announced by Commander Erwin that we would go on another mission to retake back one of the walls, which, i have to admit, made me feel quite nervous. I wasn't afraid of my life being at risk, but I was afraid of the others, who I particularly managed to become close to despite our short time together. In hopes of letting go of my stress and calming myself down, I slowly tiptoed myself out of the room I shared with Mikasa, put on my cloak, which still smelled like the fragrance I drenched myself in yesterday, and went up to the balcony, which became my ideal spot to relax and take my mind off of things that are constantly bothering me.

When i arrived, i decided to lean onto the wall, getting myself in a comfortable position. I lifted my head up and stared intently into the dark blue sky. I couldn't help but become mesmerized by this ethereal view as I watched the stars glow... "Peace, this is all I needed," I muttered. My vision stared to become all blurry as i slowly shut my eyes.

My ten-minute sleep was abruptly interrupted by someone who I felt was tugging on the cloak I was wearing. I instantly got up and asked, "Who is this?" I quickly looked behind me and blinked my eyes twice to realize that it was Eren who woke me up from my quick nap. "Ha, sorry about that, but why are you sleeping up here? That's quite unusual," he said as he rubbed the back of his head with his hand. Now, thinking about it, he is right; that is quite unusual.

"To be honest, it surprised me to find someone chilling at my spot."

"I'll just leave," I replied bluntly

"Wait, no, I didn't mean for you to leave. Stay." Eren hesitated as he walked up towards me and sat down right next to me. "I was just shocked to find out you enjoy stargazing as well," the brunette said in a soft tone I slowly faced towards him and stared at him intently as I was enthralled by his beautiful side view. His defined jaw, his amber eyes and his porcelain smooth skin had no flaw on it. "It bring me peace," He said as both of our gazes locked in at each other. "Yeah, it really does; it takes my mind off of things," I said as I shifted my head away from him as my eyes wondered somewhere else as I swore that having eye contact with him made butterflies move around in my stomach.

"Like, what if you don't mind me asking?" He questioned me while his eyes were still struck upon me, as if he were curious to know certain details about me. "My past has mostly to do with my time in the underground with my cousin. Levi." Eren seemed confused at first but quickly comprehended this after recalling the moment where Hange revealed that Captain Levi and I were both related, aka cousins. "Oh, im sorry for making you feel uncomfortable," he stated, filled with regret. "No, its okay," I answered, and from there, I opened up to Eren and someone besides Levi for the first time about my tragic experiences in the underground and how traumatic they were.

Erens POV

After (Y/N) had opened up to me about her whole entire life I couldn't help but feel empathy for her. I then felt comfortable enough to open up about my situation and how it felt finding out I was a Titan shifter which made me feel like an outcast despite the others in the survey corps like Mikasa and Armin being by my side no matter what. I was still criticized by many of the higher ups.
I couldn't help but notice how much we were alike and that in fact drawn me much more close to the (h/c) girl.

I decided to then shift the topic to our mission tomorrow to attempt to retake one of the walls.
"So how are you feeling about tomorrow?" I asked as I looked deeply into her (e/c) eyes which felt as if it was hypnotizing me.

"I'm nervous, I don't want to see anyone get hurt especially you guys" (Y/N) replied back to me as she looked me in the eyes.

Deep down I understood where she was coming from this world we are currently in is so unpredictable anything could happen.
Without hesitating I decided to reach out to her hand and hold it gently to give her words of comfort which I hoped could ease the amount of anxious thoughts and feelings she might be dealing with.

"Everything will be alright... (y/n)".

In a blink of an eye, (y/n) suddenly reached out for a hug which seemed as if it symbolized her gratitude and thanks to me for comforting her. As I opened my eyes I could of sworn I saw figure in the distance right beside the door of the entrance into the balcony. Someone who was wearing something red but after I blinked they disappeared maybe I'm just being paranoid.
