Liora flicked Daran lightly on the head with her phone. "Fine! I'll take you to my Kali practice. Are you happy now? Now, spill," eager to hear more.

Daran's grin widened. "My friend told me Sven works at her university under a different name. If you go there, you might find all your answers."

Liora's tense posture began to soften as she processed this information. She leaned back slightly, her mind racing with possibilities. "But... But how can I go to California?" She asked, feeling a ton of disappointment.

There was no way her mom would allow her to go that far for studies, and that too on her own.

"Think about it, Liora. Why don't you ask the Chairman to send you to California to the same university, where my friend is studying? Caspian lives there, too. You can meet Caspian, catch him red-handed, and track down Sven," Daran suggested.

"You're right!" Liora's face lit up with excitement. "Wait... why would I catch Caspian red-handed?"

"I am sure he is cheating on you," Daran said casually.

"Don't speak nonsense about him." Liora retorted, becoming very serious.

"Alright! Alright! No need to be so serious." Daran rolled his eyes. "Let's focus on your California plan." Daran reminded her.

"Once you are in Carlinofia, my friend Rachel will assist you at every step. You can trust her."

"Rachel," Liora repeated.

Liora leaned in closer to Daran, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "So, which university am I going to?"

"In Quantum Future."

Liora's eyes widened. "Oh my god! That's where Caspian studies, too!"

"See, California is calling you." Daran felt very proud of himself for being helpful to Liroa.

But Liora's excitement abruptly faded away with one question. "Do you think Mama would allow me to go there?"

"Not," Daran said, emphatically waving his hand in dismissal.

Liora pouted slightly. "Daran, you have to come with me to help convince Mama."

"Nope."

"Oh, come on. She still thinks you're my boyfriend and my future husband."

Daran chuckled nervously. "Unfortunately, yes."

"We'll tell her we are going together to study in California. She might allow me to go then."

Daran shook his head adamantly. "Liora, no way. I can't lie to your mom. She's so nice; she still sends me food. I can't do this to her."

Her eyes narrowed playfully. "Well, then, you're going to do exactly for that reason. Or else, I'll tell Uncle Dane, who's now a captain, how you fooled me into calling you 'baby' and imagine my mom's reaction?"

Daran's eyes widened in alarm. "You wouldn't dare!"

Liora grinned mischievously. "Try me."

Daran could not dream of going against Liora's will, not when her uncle Dane still gave him a stern look.

After Daran left, Liora stared at her phone for quite some time, and finally dialled Robert's number anxiously, hoping to get permission to meet with the chairman.

Surprisingly, Robert quickly granted her request, but there was a catch – instead of meeting at home, she was scheduled to meet him at his business empire, the Synergy Enterprise building. She was nervous since she had never been there but she had no other choice than comply.
