The Rechnung-Zalvo alliance had destroyed the original charge and pushed back into Terran controlled land almost reaching Landing Point. As they got closer the Terran's put up more and more of a fight, even gathering troops from other wars. "Alright, first things first, welcome to the 76th Infantry Division. With that out of the way let's get to the real meat of this briefing. The Terran's have complimented us by calling us "their most important colony since Marsha, or Mars in Galactic Standard. This means we will be facing harder and harder resistance the more we push. I expect no prisoners as the paperwork to get them into prisons is a pain in the ass." The rooms chuckled before he continued. "Do not underestimate any Terran's, they have received the best training in the Galaxy and can kill, even in handcuffs. I would recommend shooting any Terran you come across, yes this means civilians too as recent battle have seems Civilians be conscripted as bombs." The room went dead silent. " Be back here by 12:00." He said as we poured out of the room.

Despite the large and loud canteen, the 76th was unusually quiet. They are rookies which means they got that briefing. They understood the situation, we all did. We are so close to getting the Terran's off of Diodes, so close yet so far, this will be our hardest push yet, if this fails then we have no hope and have to retreat back to the Border.

"It's time to attack!" A general yelled as we charged out of the trench. Bullets whizzed by as explosions erupted the field around me. The amount of craters on the field made it look like the Moon. Well everything except the sickly brown and dark red colors that dotted the field. Rotting corpses and destroyed trees sit as a reminder of how war can destroy and change the environment in twisted ways. A talented author, painter, a teen with a bright future, all sitting on the brink of death, or have already crossed that void.

Into the Imperium comrades marched, side by side to panzers supplied by the nation of Kurdez. The Hildani Coalition got closer and closer to Landing Point before a human rebellion broke out, wanting to separate from the Imperium entirely. The Coalition protected these rebels as the war continued to rage for 6 years as neither side was willing to give up land. New technology like the Portable Lazer Cannon and Land Frigate turned the tides dramatically with each invention present on the battle field. The Coalition then sent a letter to the remaining human forced that we're surrounded out side the Provincial Capitol of Landing Point. One reply was received by the Coalition. "Never."

For 3 more years the war raged to capture Landing Point, eventually 67,000,000 have died and the Imperium withdrew it's troops, saying the war developed not to the Imperium's advantage but promising revenge on the Hildani. For now Diodes was free from Human oppression, but for how long?
