Pallaviii pov .....

Its 3 am but I don't even feel like moving...... I feel exhausted... mentally, physically and emotionally.....

But I have to.......I don't have a choice here and by that I remembered my Maa sa.....
My eyes teared up......I need her the most at this moment then only I could find some peace .

Let these rituals be concluded....and  maybe then ,  the  day after tomorrow I can go to my house to spend some time with my family.

I got up and took a bath and got ready wearing a maroon poshak . My Maa sa gave me this as a Shagun .

I am not feeling like wearing anything heavy and this dress is perfect for the ocassion.
The special thing about this is my Maa sa made this Dupatta herself.

I got downstate and kaki sa and Reshama were preparing tea .
Bindaniiiii....kuch der aur aaram kar leti ..Kaki sa said making me smile.

Nahi kaki sa .... kuch der mei Baarat vaapis aati hi hogi ...
Nai Dulhan ke aane ki tyari kar lete hai .....I said and she nodded .

I prepared Aarti ki thaali and took out the 7 copper plates needed for the welcome and filled them with some grains and some coins .

I asked Reshma to fill a rice pot from the store and prepared the aalta (red liquid) for the imprints of Preeti's feet .

I prepared a paste of Mehandi , haldi , and kept some fresh ghee in 3 different plates so that she can imprints her hand on the wall beside Yuvraj's hand prints .
(It is called Thapa ritual...I don't know how many of you are aware of it ).

I then had my tea and left to the backyard to milk the cows.
I Caressed their head and patted their back ..

They know me well known and would ask for my attention.
Animals are the most pure souls ...you love them and they will love you even more ..

I let go of the calfs and they immediately ran to their respective mother's .
I let them enjoy their moments and stood by side with a smile gracing my lips as they eagerly and impatiently sucked the milk and their mother's showred them with the love.

Later I milked the cow and by the time I finish I heard the cars sounds and knew that they have arrived .

I asked Reshma and others to bring the milk Buckets inside and rushed in .

Everyone has gathered on the main door of the house and there was literally no space left .

I sighed and passed everything ahead that is needed for welcome .

As Preeti stepped inside everyone made their way for her and I put the seven copper plates in the row ..

She picked them one by one and the ladies Sang the folk songs welcoming the new bride .
She looked absolutely beautiful....may God protect her from evil eyes .
